I was very disappointed. I got the 3 meat plate, pulled pork, sliced brisket (picture), Polish kielbasa sausage. I don't handle spicy stuff so I asked if the sausage is spicy and they said no, and were kind enough to give me a sample, and I didn't get any heat from it. I don't know what happened, but when I got home, the more I ate, the more heat I got. Weird.

The green beans were good except very heavy on I guess black pepper, so much that by the end I wondered if there was a dash of jalapeño sauce in there.

The pulled pork was good, not spicy and not dry, a little bland though (without bbq sauce).

The bread was bland and barely toasted. I thought it was supposed to be Texas toast. It was thick and had some butter but not typical, and definitely not toasted enough to call it Texas toast.

The potato salad was good. I wish I could say really good or amazing, but unfortunately it was just kind of adequate.

The brisket was the big problem. I have lived in Texas 10 years and had a lot of brisket from a lot of different places, and this looked exactly like pot roast. I don't know how that's possible. It was very dry, had very little fat for flavor, and was very stringy. I mean...is it possible they bought a roast and tried to pass it off as brisket? Did they cut it the wrong direction as well as overcook it? It's still edible, but I'm going to have to chop it up and doctor it with sweet bbq sauce and maybe a little bacon to get some flavor back into it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a reason to eat at a Dickey's again. Very disappointed for the...

We ordered Dickey's Barbecue Pit through DoorDash, and it wasn't as great as we thought it would be. We bought the 2 for $24.

Our sides were Barbecue Beans, Asiago Cheese Creamed Spinach, Mac & Cheese, and Waffle Fries.

Our bread of choice was Dinner Roll.

Our sauces were Spicy Barbecue Sauce and Carolina Barbecue Sauce.

The meats we decided on were Brisket Burnt Ends, Pork Burnt Ends, Polish Kielbasa Sausage, and Pork Ribs.

Let's start with the sides first — the barbecue beans didn't have a strong flavor of barbecue. The Asiago Cheese Creamed Spinach was extremely creamy. The Mac & Cheese didn't have a distinct flavor to it, and the Waffle Fries were extremely salty.

For the 2 for $24, you receive a total of 2 sauces and dinner rolls. The Dinner Roll was extremely stiff — it was difficult to take a bite out of. The Spicy Barbecue Sauce was more preferred over the Carolina Barbecue Sauce — the Carolina Barbecue Sauce had a tangy taste to it, but it wasn't good.

Out of all of the meats we had, the Pork Burnt Ends were probably the best — I say probably because even though it was good, all of the meats was extremely salty.

Surprise to say that I will not be returning to Dickey's Barbecue Pit. Everything, with the exception of their Dinner Roll, was salty; however, their Dinner Roll was stiff and tough like a rock so nothing was really worth...

Beware of the Haslet store. Worst service I've ever had. I think it may have been the owner I had to deal with today. My son had placed a to go order and I went to pick it up. I checked the order to make sure nothing was missing before I left the store. They hadn't given me the drink in the yellow cup. I had to ask for it but they didn't fill it up. I texted my son to find out what he wanted to drink. The man pointed to the receipt and said Dr Pepper. I left the store and on the way home my son said there should be 2 drinks. The other drink was part of a combo which is why I didn't notice it. I turned around. When I walked in, I told the man that my order was short. That angered him and he said he couldn't help me because I had already left the store with the food. Then he yelled "get out of my store. I'll call the cops". Yea, I called him a thief. I left without the drink. I've always had trouble with that store shorting me. You have to check every detail before you leave. I never will be back.

2/21/2024 I responded to the owner. I emailed them my compliant. Never heard back from them. But they signed me up for daily promotional emails. I had to...

Absolutely worst catering ! With very much lack of management and detail . Specifically ordered “CATERING FOR 15 PEOPLE” . Delivery driver shows up in FLIP FLOPS with a bag of to go containers. Upon opening the bag - come to find out 2 TO GO containers were used for each meat selection , mind you this is to be served in a line for a retirement lunch. On top of that - a Cesar salad with meat was ordered and came with lettuce and cesear in a small cup . The sides were also in 2 cup containers per side . AGAIN THIS IS TO BE SERVED IN A BUFFET TYPE LINE . Spoke to “management” (Mike) - who stated “well we packaged and rang you up like a family pack” Now my question - who orders a family pack for 15 people . Mike was no help , only to state , I cut the meat and packaged it . Had no remorse or “fix” for the issue . So if you want catering in to go containers and delivery to be made 10min late with someone in pants and flip flops and a crumpled up receipt falling out of the pocket for you to sign THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE PLACE ! I had ordered this same exact setup before with this hassle ! Obviously things have changed. BEWAR !

I usually go to the Blue Mound location, but we moved out to Haslet recently so thought I'd give this location a try and it sucked! Got me and my wife a loaded baked potato with brisket for each one of us and apparently this location takes the liberty of building it for you. The Blue Mound location gives you all the ingredients (except for the meat) in small containers on the side. And I'm sure we were supposed to get a roll with our order too, but didn't. Got home and my bag was full of grease! Apparently the guy making my order put out potatoes in the containers upside down! So all the grease leaked out into the bag and all over my truck and on the counter at home. We will definitely not go to this location to order food and get slop instead. So far everything out here for restaurants don't compare to the mainland. Smh
