Hands Down, One of the Best Meals I’ve Had!

So, I just ate at Empanadas and Arepas, and let me tell you—it was AMAZING. From the second I walked in, the vibe was just right. Fernando was super friendly, which made me feel instantly welcome. You know when customer service just hits different? That was this place.

Now, the food… The empanadas were absolute perfection. The crust was crispy but not too thick, and the fillings were so fresh and flavorful. It’s one of those things where you take a bite, and you’re like, “How is this so good?” The beef was my favorite, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them. And the arepas? Don’t even get me started. They were soft, warm, and stuffed to the brim with deliciousness. I tried a couple different ones, and each bite was better than the last.

Ordered 24 empanadas, the staff was friendly. It was a pricey order, about $4-5 per empanda. So I thought okay, maybe they're on the larger side. Unfortunately, they did not look like a typical Colombian empanada.

Small, thin, greasy, lacked meat.

Not even close to the worth that was paid. As a Colombian, you will not find these when you travel to Colombia. It was a little embarrassing showing my classmates what Colombian empanadas were.

A disgrace to real empanadas. I can never find good savory empanadas in DFW and I’ve lost hope after trying Arepas 3F. I’ve never tried them before so of course I look at the menu and I’m already getting yelled at and rushed to order. $10 for two empanadas, complete rip-off. I’ll stick to making...
