I don’t live in Texas anymore but on a visit to the Dallas Farmer’s Market I visited the Bee & Brew. My little granddaughter said that the gentleman running the booth was a Cowboy. She’s four.
I had tried mead in the past and was seriously underwhelmed. I liked what I got very much. I shared a bottle with someone who is a harsh critic of everything and he thought that the Allfather fig mead was off the chain fabulous.
I usually ignore Facebook ads, but I saw the familiar label go by so I looked to see what shipping to North Carolina would be. They had an offer for two bottles and a tankard that I thought was reasonable. So I bought some more.
The only issue I had was my issue. Because the order contains alcohol I had to show my identification and prove I was 21. My issue is that I wasn’t sure how I would hook up with the FedEx driver to get my package. Not an issue for many people but I live up a steep mountain and have a steeper driveway and drivers won’t come up here.
Not a problem. The driver called me and I went to the bottom of the driveway to get my package.
Now, to have the right occasion to celebrate this tasty beverage….. I won’t...
Read moreThe products themselves are fantastic, probably my favorite meads I've had with the best being the traditional mead, with the dry fig mead coming in second. If you're buying in person, I imagine the experience is fantastic. I ordered online, however, and that's where the one star off comes from. I ordered five items originally, and when the first package arrived only three items came. When I requested a resend of said items, they sent them to a state on the other half of the country instead of using either the billing or shipping address on the first package. When I told them of the issue, admittedly late as I didn't check until I got the delivered email, and then had to email them twice to get my items. So, if you're ordering online, I suggest that you thoroughly check your shipping address and the box for all your items as soon as possible, and give them an email with all the necessary...

It's just there is a beer/brewed like flavor to it as well. Almost like sake, but different. It's hard to describe in proper terms with words like floral notes and hints of this and that, I just don't have the vocabulary for all that mess. But I do know that I...
