I went on a Sunday for the jam. The Fender Benders were great. But I must say the bartender took over 15 minutes to even come to me and when she did she seemed very drunk or on drugs, I proceeded to order a beer, a bottled beer and she told me that the draft was on sale. I proceeded to say no thank you I would like a bottle. She seemed to not understand what I was saying so I repeated myself and she said again but the draft is on sale. I repeated myself and said but I want a bottle. The woman gave me a nasty look and I didn't get my beer until a different bartender came out and I had to ask her for the beer. So it took 20 minutes to get a beer and I was sitting at the bar in the place wasn't even that busy. There was a man sitting at the bar and said good luck getting service. Two women at the end of the bar were laughing and said yes something is wrong with the staff here. I said hi to the band and proceeded to enjoy my beer. Then tried to get the bartenders attention again to get my second beer. Took another 15 minutes to get her attention and then when she brought the beer I asked for my bill because at this point it's already been an hour and a half and I was not feeling comfortable. Took another 15 minutes to get my table then the woman said some little derogatory things to me. I said please just let me pay my bill I had two beers and I want to get out of here. I finally paid and when I went to leave the woman that was talking with me and laughing with me with her friend try to get my attention pyramid I went to the restroom and went to leave not wanting any altercation with anyone the woman proceeded to follow me out of the building. I got in my car and she was yelling something at me I rolled down my window and said I'm leaving and I don't even know what she was saying to me but then the next thing I know she told me I was rude wow I was rude, I was there for 2 hours had two beers had a difficult time trying to even get those two beers had a difficult time trying to leave and then was threatened in a parking lot. I will never be back there again. The jam was good but the people and the staff...
Read moreWhere do I begin? We came on a Friday night. Supposedly there was one cook, one server, and one bartender. They did have a live band playing which was cool- but it was very hard to get any service here. We were on the restaurant side and not the bar side. So the waitress was always MIA on the bar side.
We saw other patrons walking around to the cooks window asking for their food and another walking around with cash trying to pay for his food.
It took 45minutes to get any food out to our table. Appetizer was delivered at same time as entree and appetizer was cold (nachos). We ordered a burger with no pickle but got double pickles instead (literally 10pickles!). Our other grilled chicken sandwich was forgotten. So we waited another 15 minutes for it. When we finally got it… it was a crispy chicken sandwich. We were tired of the experience so we just dealt with it- but it was disgusting and I chose only to have a few bites.
We got our check and they were nice enough to comp an item or two without us asking- but then we couldn’t find our waitress to pay, so we left cash for the ticket on the table and left.
The poop deck was a complete poop show! Would...
Read moreMan, talk about a post-pandemic pivot. This place evolved from an iconic Fort Worth watering hole (a favorite for karaoke), to a TCU-area bar and grille. They are now in the old Fred's space (The Oui for you old-timers) on Bluebonnet Circle. Owner, Bert Adams, has divided the place in two sections. The bar side is big and open, featuring a full bar, a stage for live music and karaoke, as well as two full-size pool tables. Got plenty of high-top and table seating as well. You can order food on the bar side as well as the restaurant side. The restaurant side is what you'd expect. Restaurant side has a bar too, but more table seating and a little quieter. The food here may be the big surprise. Great burgers and sandwiches and a high-end steak at a reasonable price that may be the best-kept secret in the TCU area. Lots of big screens for your game-watching pleasure. And the karaoke and live music nights never disappoint. When the weather is nice, the roll-top doors are open as well. Go see Bert and his crew and get ready to make it one of your...
