Tacos Ernesto — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Two things brought the rating from 5 stars to 3.. first being the smell that has permeated through the restaurant when we visited recently. We have been to Tacos Ernesto many times before and have never experienced this problem before, I'm hoping it was something that will be fixed easily. The smell was distracting, for sure. The second would be the service. Although it was prompt, it wasn't very courteous. Our waitress seemed like she was having a bad day. Again, just as the odor, this is not something we have experienced regularly. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

Despite those issues, the food was great, as usual. It's what keeps us coming back. At our table we had chicken flautas, my boyfriends favorite and the best I have ever had, an asada burrito and asada tacos. My friend and I forgot to ask for no cilantro in our asada dishes but they still tasted amazing. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, Tacos Ernesto is the place. A little disappointed they did not have flan this evening. There's is the best, by far..

These are hands down one of the best tacos I’ve eaten in all of Texas. Especially for the price!!! I’ve eaten tacos everywhere but these stand out. They have the BEST chicharrón tacos I’ve ever had. They’re extremely crispy and flavorful. I also ordered an Al pastor taco, a tripas, and an asada taco. These were each SPECTACULAR!! I ordered an asada burrito as well which did not disappoint. Their horchata is solid as well. I highly recommend this place. 4 tacos, a burrito, and a horchata all for like $15 is crazyyyy. Will def be back again and again!

Only downside is their indoor dining closes early so you cannot eat...

When I’m craving authentic Mexican food this is one of my spots. They try to cater to tex mex fans a little but it’s mostly authentic. The flautas are the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Not to mention their molé. I just wish their enchiladas had more flavor. They have really good homemade aguas frescas. Cash only but I don’t mind cause the food is good here. I only order through drive thru but you can always order ahead. The family is super nice. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I forgot to mention they also have specials every day of...
