Food Review: Sports City Taverna

If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with great food and even better service, Sports City Taverna is the place to be! I stopped by recently and was blown away by the low-key, relaxed vibes that make it perfect for catching up with friends or unwinding after a long day.

Now, let’s talk food—because it’s that good. I went with the wings and the patty melt, and both were absolute hits. The wings were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of crispiness and flavor that left me wanting more. As for the patty melt? It was pure comfort food done right. Juicy, well-seasoned beef paired with melted cheese and grilled onions, all tucked between buttery, toasted bread. It was everything I hoped for and more.

The cherry on top? The owner and staff were incredibly nice and attentive, making sure every guest felt welcome and taken care of. You can tell this place values good food and great hospitality.

We came out last night because we were members of their facebook and they posted a post to come out that they would have a DJ till 2am, so we drove all the way out there.

When we got there there was a sign on the door that said they were closed for a private party.

when we responded on facebook they deleted the post and our coments and blocked our account.

We then did reviews on facebook to expose their nonsense but they even had those removed by marking THE REAL CUSTOMER REVIEWS as spam.

This business are just rude and even use deceptive tactis to keep their reviews good. They invite you out to reject your entire party and ruin your night. they DEFINITELY need to get their SHT together since they have one person inviting you out saying dj till 2am and that person is clueless to the fact that they have a private party and even having a private party on friday is just rude. you want customers or not.

Horrible. I can’t understand how anyone can give this anywhere close to 5-Stars. Really looked forward to this place opening, finally went for NFL Sunday and I won’t be back. Ordered $9.99 Chips+Queso. Expected something at least halfway decent, got an embarrassingly tiny styrofoam cup of lukewarm Tostitos queso. Got a burger that wasn’t half bad, but came with obviously frozen fries that weren’t even warm, overtop of that the server couldn’t remember the mayo or ketchup I asked for twice. Then got two drinks each for me and my partner (2 Bottled beers and 2 white claws). We left to go to our usual place because we had had it, and were shocked when we got a check for $50+. Couldn’t believe a place in such a good location with a nice patio could be just so terrible. I’ve never even left a 1-star review for any place before, let alone leave reviews in general but this place really got to me. Save your time, and importantly your money. There’s countless better places within a minutes drive of here to go...
