As someone who loves breakfast foods, this has grown to be my favorite brunch place in Keller. The food here never disappoints; each dish that I've had here has been excellent despite the massive menu. Not once have I walked out of this restaurant and not been crazy full. The biscuits are so soft, the pancakes and French toast are so fluffy and warm, the scrambles are so cheesy, and the salsa has a great texture, not being too watery. However, the Migas could use fewer tortilla chips and could do without tomatoes. Some smaller dishes would also be beneficial as well, as the portion sizes are quite large. Another thing I'm also impressed with is the sheer variety of food. They have so many different flavors of pancakes, French toast, and waffles along with so many different drinks, sandwiches, egg scrambles, tacos, and baked goods. Even their kids menu is as big as the average restaurant's main menu; most restaurants I go to only have a select few items on their kids menu. They have food to satisfy every sweet and savory craving. Although this place has chicken and waffles, it would be good to have more dishes that combine both sweet and savory food, like an egg scramble with a pancake.
The service here is also great. The food comes out so quickly every time (not even 10 minutes) despite a bunch of orders that my family makes. Every staff member I have encountered was polite as well. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, as everything is clean and you can eat indoors or outdoors.
This is one of the few restaurants my family repeatedly goes to, and my family doesn't go out to eat too much. Overall, I would highly recommend this place, particularly for families that want to go...
Read moreA great place in Keller for breakfast/brunch, but it seems to struggle with its popularity. Chances are high that if you pull up on a weekend morning, there will be a crowd of 5 or more parties standing around outside...do yourself a favor and get on the wait list BEFORE you head over. At least there's a neat little area near it in the Old Town Center where you and the kids can play life-size chess or step on the musical tiles... assuming one of the many other waiting parties isn't doing that already.
Walking in through the front, you'll find a waiting area that will almost assuredly be packed with other waiting parties, and a hosting stand with a full team trying to handle the crowd (no joke, the wait list we were on had 28 parties ahead of us...not all present, I'm guessing, but still!). The cozy ambience of the cafe is polluted with the noise of approximately 100 people all trying to carry on conversations, while customers and staff compete for any walking room. Once you are finally seated, things get better. Not great, but better!
Our server was very warm and friendly, but also very swamped. When asking for water refills, they would make repeat trips back to the table before remembering that we wanted more water. We placed our orders fairly quickly, but wound up waiting over half an hour to get our plates due to that backed up kitchen. All that said, the food and drinks are still a reminder why this place is so crazy. My Denver scramble (which was supposed to be an omelet) was very flavorful, as was the coffee. I wound up stealing some chocolate chip pancake from my son, and was not disappointed. My wife loved her chorizo taco trio, and we can't get enough of the...
