Taqueria El Bayo — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Horrible service!!.. One hour and 20 minutes and no food...

My wife, two toddlers, and I came here on Sunday morning at 11:40 am. We stood at the door for a couple of minutes, and no one greeted us. As I began to walk over to the young lady at the register (who was not helping anyone and could've sat us), a waitress finally came to seat us. We were given menus and drinks, and then waited what seemed to be about 15 minutes with no one coming back to take our order or refill my wife's coffee. While waiting for our food, we had to flag another waitress down to refill my wife's coffee and our chips. This was about 30 minutes in, when no one checked on us. It's now about 12:45 pm, and my wife and I are getting very frustrated and impatient. The waitress comes back at 12:55 pm, and says, "You're food should be out in 5 minutes... maybe." Uh, maybe?? In the meantime, we see that people who arrived at the restaurant after us got their food before us. And we also see a couple of other people leave the restaurant due to their slow service. As one o'clock hits, I beeline to the register to pay for my drinks and get out of there. They were nice enough not to make me pay for the drinks, but what a complete waste of time... This was very unfortunate. I grew up in this neighborhood, still live in the area, and was hoping to find a regular spot and support a local business. The quality of this food is authentic but the service is horrible!!! Not to mention they are overpriced.They’re always short staffed, the food takes FOREVER to come out and when it does they get it wrong. I’ve gone on three visits hoping for an improvement And to my disappointment two out of the three my orders were incorrect. The first time I ordered a plate three tacos and beans. They only brought me three tacos and the waitress never came back to our table so I never corrected it. She wasn’t rude,she was very friendly but she never came back. if you walk in no one is at the register, you have to wait until someone pops up then they take your order and take forever to come back. And do not seat yourself because they all stare at you wondering where you came from. The second time I ordered four tacos they only gave me two I had to go back. The third time the Menudo was undercooked and it was obvious everything was reheated. Your tacos have barely any meat and the gordita‘s are shoved full of beans so that you don’t notice the meat is sparse . Do not go early in the morning especially on weekends you will Get reheated or microwaved food. Sadly if they did it right the food would be great. A bit overpriced.
