Hot Brew Bistro — Restaurant in Fortuna

Update: We've been here several times now and always with my hearing service dog. The owner has no concept of how to behave. She has asked to walk my dog the table, feed my dog at the table, and now insists on spending several minutes at time trying to pet and play with the dog under the table. I've asked her to stop to no avail. We won't b able to return.

We went here for breakfast on New Years morning for the first time. We ordered chicken fried steak and crepes filled with meat and cheese.

The food was fantastic, good value for the price and wonderful servers. Incredible little details like delicious organic Sumatra brewed to tasty perfection, tasteful decor, and a wonderful display from a local born painter who just happens to masterfully do fantastic and inspired colorful paintings. This is also a classy and warm, hospitable place where one can feel very comfortable gathering with family and knowing you will receive prompt and courteous service. We didn't partake but the Mimosa offerings looked great. They have small, medium, and large but let's call it regular, WOW!, and "Holy smoke, is that a fish bowl?". Hot Brew Bistro also offers group mimosas dispensers. It is about a 3 feet tall clear tube with an elegant chrome and black decanter at the bottom.

They have a beautiful patio for outdoor dining, plenty of heaters, and again, nicely decorated. I can't wait to enjoy summer meals on their lovely patio.

My husband decided to actually take us there for Breakfast instead of me hearing how good it is he took us so I could find out for myself. The parking lot was roomy the morning chill was burning off and of course I was instantly attracted to outside patio....still a little cold.....Needless to say we were GREETED with the most AMAZING SMILE from the let's call her AMAZING HANNAH..any employee that truly loves her job of serving people and being part of the Team! I can not say enough how our waitress held it together with a smile and ease when I started to notice in her eyes hidden tears when I payed attention that some other higher up team player meaning her floor supervisor like absolute trap for no reason or rush as she was taking care of her area as well as other customers and if that means making a patron feel appreciated by engaging in AMAZING customer service..... we were not the only ones who noticed your unappreciative rude tone that you used with only this employee making it uncomfortable for not only us but others. You should be so lucky to have an Employee that loves her job of working with the public..... and only because of HANNAH will we come back. Shame on you. I'm sure this place is popular because they serve alcohol. That way when you're so drunk you can't taste the poor quality food. I ordered a burger and onion rings cooked medium. Received a burger that was well done and very dry. Told them no mayonnaise and only the barbecue sauce that it came with. I received some sort of mayonnaise looking, concoction on my burger. My onion rings were okay at best. My daughter ordered a burger and wasn't asked how she wanted it cooked. She received hers very rare. She ordered pasta salad on the side asked what was in it and a very short rude way was told it had light mayonnaise included. It was more like a mayonnaise soup. I'm not all sure what was in it besides mayonnaise cuz that's all I could see. It was a very loud obnoxious place. Even more obnoxious was the lady working there wandering around very loudly. Had to continues to wait for the waitress to ask for things like more napkins or more tea and orange juice. Customer service seems to have gone out the window as no one asked how was your food?
