Hot Deli — Restaurant in Fortuna

I drove up north for a softball tournament this summer and was starving and decided we would stop in Fortuna and grab a bite.. I was worried we wouldn’t find anything open because of the lockdowns Our Governor mandated on the state. I was fairly familiar with the area but searched google to make it easy I found what appeared to be a new joint that served a range of burger bar type goodies with a unique twist of other items so We decided to support one of the few essential buissness that I assumed were battling each and everyday to stay afloat during these tough times nothing is better than trying to show support to the ones who continue to push harder when the world is leaning on you. The minute we got to the place we were welcomed by a waitress in a big smile and the smell of apple pie. The menu was simple but filled with easy to read lists of good ole small town grub. We had a huge order Plates were good size great prices fast to the table and plenty of water fill. You could tell the new buissness were working hard doing there best in a turbulent year but none of it showed when I dove into the double bacon cheese burger. Paradise I’d highly suggest going and trying the specialty sandwiches and the frys Super good. We went on our way back home two days later and we’re evenly...

I don’t know about the food but the owner was extremely rude to my boyfriend and I. We were from out of town visiting the redwoods we got food at the Mexican restaurant next door and decided to eat at some tables outside. We didn’t know the tables belonged to her restaurant, there was no sign or anything and she wasn’t even open yet.

She came outside and told us that this can never happen again and that when her customers come they won’t have anywhere to sit. She kept telling us how they were her tables and that she was going to have so many customers coming. I can tell with the tone of her voice she was extremely annoyed we were there. My boyfriend and I hurried and left. The entire time we were there no one came to her restaurant or even walked past us...it was very empty. We drove by a few times in the day and still no one sitting at those tables. Not a friendly atmosphere. I’ll definitely...

Place is not worth the money i went to get a French dip sandwich it had nothing but onions on it 75 percent onions and the rest lil bit of meat price was horrible 11 dollars for a onion sandwich with some cheese im actually pretty upset that I got it right before 830 and they close at 9 and I called back when I got hom e at 850 and they were allready gone no answer nothing people are in there just didn't want to answer phone they really suck with customer service there was one guy that seemed like he wanted to do what he could but other then that wouldn't recommend this place unless your a teen trying to grab a quick snack for lunch off campus unless u would like a onion sandwich...
