This place should be called "All You Can Scam".
This place isn't a real Korean BBQ, just like all the sushi buffets places that has taken over the sushi scene. It's a Chinese owned establishment with Chinese customer service and attitude.
We thought this place would be different since reading some positive reviews of it, apparently, it's probably the worst place for any occasion. We tried making a reservation days before since it'll be for a party, but they say, it's not required since they're not too busy during lunch hours, which is a Sunday at noon. That should have been a clue already, Sunday of all day not busy during lunch? Most restaurants are usually packed during lunch. We had a party of 8, half the party wanted BBQ and the other half...hot pot. Once we arrived, there wasn't anyone in the lobby area, but....there was a large engagement party. If there was a large party booked for lunch, reservations would be nice for future customers who calls days before. This is where Chinese customer service/attitude comes in, they don't give a hoot or care if you come back or not.
Appears the large party for the day wanted mostly hot pot and all seats were taken in the hot pot section and we were asked to wait half hour at most, BBQ area was widely available....we waited and waited without anyone else in the lobby. No reservations needed huh?? More than a hour later, still no seating and we were just fed up and super hungry, still no one else was waiting except our party. The large party isn't leaving or anyone else leaving in the hot pot area. So, we left and won't ever come back.
So, why not all of party just take BBQ? Our party has seniors who has dentures and isn't able to chew on anything tough.
It's probably the stupidest set up ever. How does a place have a buffet with either a BBQ or hot pot separately in the same place? Having it together would had made sense, wouldn't it? Either pick one or the other? Separate from your party if some feels like something else? How stupid....also, I can understand alcohol, but additional cost of sashimi/sushi or other seafood is extra? What does a buffet mean??? If so, increase the price of entry, not some BS lie of a buffet?
It's a scam people. We won't ever...
Read moreMy family and I have always come here for our family birthdays and dinner. This is the first time I came and when I received my bill all the kids were charged adult prices. I tried to correct it with the manager Chang which is the first time I’ve met him usually when we come the lady is at the front. he said that they charge by height, any kid over 4.5ft automatically gets charge adult price. My 8 year old son is 3’10 ft tall, , my daughter 10years old is 5 ft, my nephew who is 10 as well is 4’4 ft tall. They do not eat like adults they pick on food here and there all they go for is the ice cream just like any kid. I argued with him that we’ve come here plenty of times and have never been charged by height. Not only is this not ok, this is discrimination against children that are built in all different shapes and sizes. We have never experienced this before. He told me that it is posted in their price signs on the front door. And of course I did my due diligence and took a picture of the sign in front of the door. And it clearly does not have any policy on height it specifically states age range and prices only. This is not only deceptive and false advertising this is discriminative against my ethnic group especially the build of our children. So what exactly is the “Normal child size?”. What are your expectations of what 8-10 year olds look like Chang? Is it to your standard? You judged on the basis because we are Pacific Islanders and automatically assumed we are built differently that Its ok to over charge us. So I will be reporting this unfair treatment and I want to know if you are doing this to all races that dine in your restaurant or if this is just done to our ethnic groups children. Attached is the posting in front of the door that specifically charges by age. If you are the owner of this establishment Chang...
Read moreThey’re located by the water so they have amazing view. Truly beautiful but unfortunately because we were 5 people so we couldn’t sit by the window, which is ok. Service was really good, the staff were really nice and assisted us with what we needed. Unfortunately, after we ordered, they did not actually bring the items that we ordered. Firstly, we ordered enoki but instead got different kind of mushroom that tastes absolutely terrible. Secondly, I’m unsure if we ordered garlic fries but what came to us was just regular fries. And god knows what else they didn’t bring accordingly.
Now the quality of meat. The meat quality is absolutely terrible. Let it be from the freshness of it or from the cut of the meat. I ordered pork cheek and I can taste the freezer burn and staleness of the fat. The pork belly was too thin almost like a bland bacon (and stale as well), not the kind you would put for kbbq. The short ribs is mostly fat. The squid was already slimy and smelly. The veggies does not look fresh, meat was clearly low quality and badly seasoned. . The only good items are the popcorn chicken and cumin lamb (even this was bad cut, but this was the most flavorful out of all).
There’s this arrogant lady, maybe the owner or manager, roaming around and telling us how to cook (not in a good way). She was also reminding everybody (she visited every table) that we’ll get charged if we ordered too much, which feels unnecessary because we are still eating and we literally told them we’re done ordering.
Lastly, they automatically charged us 15% tip for 5 people AND still asking for more tip at the end. I get it, it’s just the culture, but it’s almost getting out of...
