Coming from Bangalore this brought back so many memories. Went for lunch yesterday and so loved every single dish!
Started with Maddur vade and gobi manchurian and masala peanut - the Madhur vade so tasty with the fresh chutney. Gobi manchurian was excellent , so crispy and I asked for some ketchup and chilli for added spice Masala peanut for the protein and crunch! So many great healthy options of sprouts and kosambari (salads) to choose from.
For mains we tried the bisbellebath and oota. Everything was hot. Both came with side of ghee. Papad for the oota and crispy wafers for the bisibebath. A good portion size for both.
Whole oota(meal) reminding of home food, hot saaru(rasam), sambar and the curries. We also had the makmali paneer nice tandoori smoky flavor and the freshness in imli and mint chutneys elevated the dish to another level.
I’m not a big dessert person but love the tamarind candy that I used to get as a kid and seeing those on the reception made me jump like a kid.
Would definitely be coming back again to try out all the other dishes.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of working with Bengaluru - Vegetarian Kitchen, owned by the exceptional Pallavi, for our grihapravehsam ceremony. Pallavi was involved right through from helping us choose the perfect menu and ensuring it's timely delivery. As a Bangalorean and a Kannadiga, I can confidently say that the food was on par with the best Karnataka chefs have to offer. The dishes were authentically prepared with care, maintaining ideal (less) oil and salt levels. The quality was truly amazing, giving us the warm feeling of enjoying homemade food. I highly recommend Bengaluru - Vegetarian Kitchen for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Karnataka cuisine.
