Rainbow Donuts — Restaurant in Fountain Hills

When this place opened up it was jam packed, lines were often out the door, menu items were fresh and available. Now less than a year of being open at this location, things seem to have gone downhill. They close earlier than listed, some days they don’t even open up, the drive threw service here is absolutely low quality and very slow if they even provide it to you. But what erked me the most was recently I went there to get a ice cream cone, bc for $2.99 you can get a big sugar cone packed with thrifty ice cream. And if you’ve read my other reviews I’m particular to that ice cream. Upon my arrival I looked online to make sure they were open, I arrived there the open sign was bright and glowing, but all the lights inside were off and no cars in the parking lot. I go up to the door and what do you know, THEY CLOSED, ALL DOORS LOCKED, NO ONE WORKING. Looked like a ghost town in there, like as if they rushed out in a hurry. Worse part all the donut racks were almost completely full… So that leads me to believe that they do not fresh bake their donuts daily, what they don’t use one day is just recycled and kept for the next…. And somehow they have a A+ rating from the health department, I guess they missed the left out food… I took pictures for proof,...

Not that they will care based on the vibe we got after walking in here but this is by far the worst rainbow donuts we have ever visited! I'm shocked at how poor their customer service was and the overall experience in general.

The lady working the front was rude/cold and took almost 5 mins to serve us even though the place was empty. We would have left but we already promised our 7 year old donuts so we grabbed the minimum and ate our food there. After we finished we had to use the restroom, however both the men's and women's restrooms were "out of order". I've been to Rainbow donuts locations in West Phoenix/Glendale that had a better atmosphere than this one in Fountain Hills.

Needless to say, we will make sure to avoid this place on future trips up North but felt like I needed to leave this review to warn others to keep them from making this...

The girl that took my order was rude. I tried to use the drive thru but got no response after multiple attempts to get acknowledged and even waited by the window for several minutes. After walking inside, which the place is unsightly and has both bathrooms out of order, her response for not answering me was she had to deal with other customers. That's fine, but it's common knowledge and courtesy to at least respond and notify the customer that you'll be with them shortly. Besides that, the sandwiches are microwaved and despite only ordering two things, she still messed up half the order. If you want cheap food that's comparable in taste, go to the Wendy's right next door. In addition, the person I'm referring to created their own 5-Star review to boost the establishment's overall...
