Wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time last night (a Friday night) and were very pleasantly surprised. We had seen Yelp reviews and they were right. The view is wonderful, and we found comfortable seating. People were both inside and outside. Wife and I like to share entrees, so we had the wild salmon dinner and the "560 Shaved Steak Melt" on sourdough. Both were quite tasty, cooked just right, and attractively presented. The sweet potato tots were a great appetizer, perfectly crispy. Prices were very good and the happy hour drinks were great. Service was timely and fun. We especially enjoyed the live music by Rhonda, she's really tuneful and knows like 1,000 songs or so, no kidding, with very precise guitar playing and spot on soulful vocals. The location is not right on one of the main streets in Fountain Hills, but it is associated with the gold club there and so it is actually easy to find and well worth a drive from North Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, and anywhere around Fountain Hills proper. We're going to go again, probably on a Friday night for the music, and bring friends, for sure. This is really a cut above...

My main complaints are one of our party members waiting an extra 10 minutes to get the simplest of our six orders, a tuna melt! We were never informed of the daily special even after asking twice. And, we asked our waitress Charlie 4 times if they had fish fry on Friday and she had to go get someone else to come to talk to us. That, was after I paid the check, that we got our answer to that question and finally found out that days specials!! At least two of us would have loved to tried that days special!! We had to ask about drinks and a wine list and that was when the waitress wanted us to order food. Drinks and first few dishes of food came together. Please work on these items. Even though we are from out of state, I believe restaurant business, etiquette and the whole process can't be this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had blackened shrimp tacos and my husband had the fish fry Friday and both were absolutely fantastic. Probably the best view in all of the city. Fish fry is the best anywhere.
Today I had a taco salad and it was not good. (Shell was good.) Doesn't "taco" mean Mexican? There was nothing Mexican tasting about it and you had you order meat extra if you wanted meat ( and pay for it ) on the lettuce and arugula and whatever else. I got five strips of chicken laid across the top. VERY hard to cut into bite-size pieces. There was so much thousand Island dressing it was overpowering. The only thing remotely Mexican was a small cup of salsa and some avocado supposedly guacamole. My friends had tomato bisque soup which was as thick as tomato sauce. Parmesan crisp was good. Another friend had the cheese sandwich which was not grilled and the cheese was not melted. The first time I've ever been...
