If I could I would leave no stars… I am not a person to ever leave a horrible review or a bad review but honestly the menu has no descriptions … we ordered Korean style Fried Chicken and got something that resembled orange chicken or general tso’s chicken… see photos below… the menu said nothing of the fried chicken having sauce at all so when they brought it over we were surprised and didn’t want saucy chicken… the side dishes were great but the main protein just wasn’t good … so we ordered the Korean BBQ Short ribs instead .. Chris the chefs son was very nice but when we explained to him that what we ordered which was fried chicken really wasn’t fried chicken it was alike a sweet and sour saucy chicken he didn’t have much to say about it he said maybe you should have ordered it with the sauce on the side and we said well nothing in the description said there was sauce so how are we to know and there is actually no description… so we went ahead and ordered a different entree which was the short rib that tasted great but he said we will Still have to charge you… we said well that’s fine and we are leaving this review because again we weren’t nasty or mean it was more that what we ordered was not what we expected to get based on what the menu says… easy to say we are not coming back here and this place is not recommended at all! See photos first photo looks like orange chicken.. we are by far not cheap people or any of that but $83 for something that was falsely advertised just...
Read moreI'm probably never going back to BCD. No MSG, more flavorful, where has this place been all my life?
I have an MSG/glutamate intolerance so I would have an almost immediate reaction after eating. But this is my second time eating here in two days and no reaction. I confirmed it with the daughter of the owners today. No MSG used. The food and side dishes feel like mom/grandma made them. Full of flavor without MSG, what is this magic? The bulgolgi tastes like caramelized kalbi. Amazing. Each of the side dishes have so much flavor maturation.
The beer is priced the same as most happy hours elsewhere.
What we ordered: Soon Tofu soup + bulgolgi combo with kimchi beef tofu soup. They give you a small salad to start. The side dishes include kimchi, kimchi cucumber, Korean potato salad (with cucumbers and apples), fish cake, broccoli/or spinach tofu, and marinated bean sprouts. Every single item was flavorful and delicious.
I feel satisfied, nourished, and happy eating here. Such a hidden family-owned gem. Support small...
Read moreGreat food! Would easily be a 5 star location except for the minor hiccup in service. We arrived more than an hour before closing to a busy waiting area. We put our name down on the wait-list. We waited 30 minutes, then when it was finally our turn to be seated, our hostess told us that they cannot take us since the kitchen was closing down. It was only 8:20pm at this time and their closing time was 9:00pm. I understand that they may need to start cleaning up earlier, however, if that's the case they should have told us this rather than made us wait the entire wait-list and tell us when it was our turn. Either that or put the closing time. For. The store earlier so there would not be issues like this. We appreciate that fact they eventually seated us, but it took an awkward 10 minutes of the staff cleaning the tables staring at each other trying to figure out what...
