Medium (mixed 10 piece wings + 5pc drums) - pickled radish = $28.95 TTEOKBOKKI - 12.95 Bulgogi House Fried Rice - 13.95 Bulgogi Korean Tacos - 12.95 Total... about $75 for dinner with 3. I came here on a thursday evening.. about 7pm. To my surprise, there was only another group sitting in the restaurant. It's pretty small. Maybe it seats about 40-50 people. We ordered the above. I've never tried tteokbokki.. but I'd seen it on alot of Korean Dramas I've been watching on netflix. So I thought I'd give it a try. The fried chicken is beautiful. It tastes good to great. The spicy was abit too much for me (I guess on a scale of 1 mild and 10 hottest).. it's probably a 4. I'm weaksauce when it comes to hotness! Skin was crispy and tasty. I really liked the garlic sauce more. Again.. chicken was tasty and moist. This includes both wings and drumsticks.. they were moist. (I'd had issues going to buffalo wild wings.. and even Von's where the wings were DRY). Bonchon delivered on moistness. Oh yea!... as for the Fried Rice and Tacos. I liked the tacos. I'd try it a gain... sweet and tasty. As for the fried rice... it was not bad. Maybe for me.. (I like it salty).. it was a little bland and not as flavorful as I was expecting it. Services was really good (probably because there was only my group and another family). By the time it was 8pm.. it got crowded and was maybe at 50% capacity. Finally the tteokbokki. I thought it was interesting. Alas, I think I'm not a fish cake person.. the first ones were interesting.. but then after eating more and more.. I could pass. Price is abit pricey, but it's a nice fusion type of place where I can get korean food as well as korean fried chicken. Again.. I would try the place again: 1. didn't get to try the seasoned fries 2. didn't get to try the glass noodles I also like that they have their menu readily available online through their website. They also have a family meal.. at the window of their restaurant I read the price wrong. But the deal seems pretty decent. 42.95 FAMILY MEAL XL12 wings (bone-in or boneless), 6 drums, choice of 2 double-portioned sides and choice of white rice or plain fried rice.

Absolutely loved my first visit to Bonchon Fountain Valley! My bf and I were craving Korean fried chicken and happened to find Bonchon on Yelp. They're not too far from where we live and happen to be right across from the mile square park we visit often so we were familiar with the area. We ended up stopping by on a Friday evening to have dinner, upon arriving a gentleman greeted us right away and let us choose where we preferred to sit in the restaurant. He came by with their menus and got our drink orders right away. He also told us that when we were ready to order they have a call button located at the tables so they'd know to come by our table. It's a nice convenience to have so you don't feel pressured. Customer service was great! The gentleman waiting on us was very friendly and attentive. Whenever we pressed the call button he would come over right away. He was always quick to get something if needed also. They have such a big selection on their menu, it's hard to choose just a few items to try! I already knew coming here that it would take a few visits to try everything that looked good. But for our first visit we got the following: Pork Buns, Small Half & Half Boneless Wings and the Bulgogi House Fried Rice! honestly I enjoyed almost everything. The only thing I will mention is that the wings were a bit dry and needed more sauce on them. Pork buns were probably my favorite out of everything. The pork was so juicy and delicious. The fried rice was also a nice pairing with the chicken. It was packed with flavor too. Overall I think my next visit I might try the bone-in wings. Maybe the boneless just isn't what they're known for. They also have a bunch of other items I look forward to getting in the future. I will definitely be back!

The chicken itself was okay. I was expecting it to be crunchier, but the taste is good. I wouldn't suggest getting spicy unless you're extremely tolerable. I have a pretty decent spice tolerance level, and even on their lowest level - which was one - it was still extremely spicy. Foods I recommend are there fries and staying with the classic soy chicken wings. As for sides, definitely recommend kimchi coleslaw and the good old classic radish. Other than that, the servers and staff are extremely sweet, friendly and accommodating. One of the waitresses we had had a very infectious smile and attitude even with the mask, which made our experience even more enjoyable.

Have been a long time fan of bonchon. We have ordered countless times. The biggest gripe we have is that they're very inconsistent. When it's good, it's seasoned just right and of course famously crispy. Truly addictive and mouth watering experience. When they're slow or catch them on a bad day, we receive the wings in absence of the signature Korean fried chicken crispiness. Rather we experienced overly salty, soggy, and stale wings. The first time we experienced this, we were disappointed but thought we'd experienced enough good batches to offset the one time. Then we made a huge order for our out of town family members, and we received another order of salty soy, missing spicy wings, all of which that were soggy and wet. The radish are soggy and not crisp or fresh and neither is the coleslaw.

When reaching out to the restaurant, I spoke with Sunny and he offered a small credit for a future doordash order or the other option is for me to drive back to show him proof that they messed up on the missing spicy wings, wait for them to make it and then drive back to serve my family. Disappointingly he just ended up blaming me for picking it up "later." I received the doordash text from bonchon stating it's ready to pickup at 7:34. I arrived at 7:50 and Sunny admitted he entered 7:54 as "picked up." 15 or even 20 minutes doesn't make Korean fried chicken soggy! We have done the same thing with the last few orders and it was still crispy!

Take responsibility whenever it's due. Credit is not what we wanted as it was important we would be able to feed our guests on time. Driving back to fix just a part of the order that they messed up on is unfair. Not only will we be pushing dinner back at least another hour, but about the rest of our order? The wings tasted just like a rundown KFC, but for several hundred $$$. If you're going to make us drive back on your error, own up to it and fix all that you messed up on. We offered to bring it back so you can taste the sogginess. I did not ask for any refund. We just love your chicken and that's all we wanted.

I'm so sad! After today, I just feel really bad about today's experience. Torn because I love Bonchon chicken but I don't feel good when I think about how we were treated today when we tried to work it out and to be fair. I hope anyone trying Bonchon for the first time doesn't catch them on an off day like today. I also hope that anyone that runs this place takes my review as something they can improve on. Everyone has an off day...just address it fairly, especially to...
