Unacceptable Service Overshadows Fresh Food at Carls Junior
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my latest experience at carls Junior was too appalling to ignore. Normally, I visit after work around 1 or 2 AM because the food is fresh, hot, and well-prepared. However, the service on my most recent visit was downright dreadful.
First off, the cashier at the drive through goes by the name MARCO… (or at least that’s what the receipt Says) exuded nothing but a nasty attitude. There’s no hint of a smile or a greeting; she simply takes your card and almost flings your bag of food at you. It’s incredibly off-putting when you’re trying to enjoy your meal, and it completely ruins the experience.
To add insult to injury, my order was wrong. I received burgers loaded with tomatoes and onions, despite having specifically requested them without. Understanding that mistakes happen, I tried to address the issue through the drive-through. Another young lady came to the window, and I explained the mistake. Instead of empathizing or offering an apology, she inspected the burger as if I was lying about the extra toppings, then carelessly returned the bag and walked off without so much as a “sorry” or an offer to fix it.
Frustrated, I honked my horn to get someone’s attention and insisted on a refund. Marco eventually appeared, and without any explanation or courtesy, she slammed the window in my face while processing the refund. The entire interaction was disrespectful and unprofessional—completely unacceptable for any customer service setting.
While I once overlooked these shortcomings because the food was consistently good, the repeated poor service has finally pushed me over the edge. I will never be returning to this Carls Junior again. If you value basic customer courtesy and respectful service, I suggest you steer clear of this establishment.
And for the owners or store manager, I suggest you send a shop to this location when she’s here so you can see firsthand that’s this is not a fit for your business if you intend to...
Read moreI go to this location more than any other one near my home even though it technically isnt the nearest location to me. When it comes to Carl's Jr, this location isn't special, but it's good for reasons partially unrelated to their burgers. The burgers always came out hot and fresh, the service is quick and they're polite without being in your business, the place seems relatively clean for fast-food. What about the parts unrelated to the restaurant? A bunch of the other businesses in this plaza are shuttered so parking is ample and this place has never felt crowded since most of the business is drive through or people grabbing a bite along busroutes. It's near a pretty decent Chinese fast-food place, a Taco Bell, a Sizzlers, and a few bakeries and small joints across the street so it's not terrible in terms of you and a few friends grabbing multiple things along the way if you're picking up food...
Read moreSaw adds on TV that the $5 Super Star Meals were back. Went to the Carl's on Harbor Blvd and Lilac but there was no posters or anything explaining the meals or options. Asked what I assumed was a shift supervisor and he said they had two options. one was 5 dollars (chicken tenders) and the other was $6.25 (Double Cheese Burger and Spicy Chicken Sandwich). No other options were given. I bought the Super Star Meals when the were first brought out and enjoyed the meal with 2 sliders. That was not a choice given to me. I checked the web site when I got home and it said there were 5 different Super Star Meal choices. When The place offers $5 meal deals they should have a price of 5 dollars and if they are not the prices should at least be posted. Very disapointed with...
