Some of the best Vietnamese banh mi you can get. My girlfriend got the cha lua banh mi, a plain baguette, and the passionfruit tea. I got the crispy pork belly banh mi. My girlfriend loves the bread here. It does have a nice buttery taste, and is always fresh and the right balance of crispy and soft. If you want a more premiere banh mi, with a variety of options, with drive through access, this place is perfect.
Many different drink choices, and many different banh mi choices, alongside the typical classic choices you can find at other places.
Its conveniently located off of a main street, not too far from the freeway. There is a drive thru. I believe you can delivery from here as well. They also open really early! The downside is I believe they close a bit early (6 PM ?). You can also get smaller bites and appetizers like egg rolls, spring rolls, buns, and other miscellaneous pastries and desserts in various flavors. They offer catering as well if you want their food for parties. I have also seen people order noodle and soup dishes from here. I never personally tried it myself.
I would highly recommend anyone who to try it...
Read moreI got their #6 cold cut but just the red meat Saigon bacon banh mi sandwich along with a custom made goi cuon shrimp and pork spring roll no vermicelli bun noodles but extra lettuce. They made it perfectly and they understood my bad Vietnamese haha. Anyhow, for both items, it was $10.06, so cheap. The sandwich was so delicious wow! And itâs not like the other pickle sandwich spot on brookhurst in garden grove, the bread here wasnât so âbreadyâ, it was less of the white bread part which made it low carb. They made my sandwich correctly and my low carb spring rolls as well. Wow! A Vietnamese place that makes your order right is sometimes rare. This place did it right for sure. The banh mi sandwich had its own customized sauce, like caramelized onion sauce of some sort.. so good, it really made the sandwich stand out. You can see from the pictures.
Thereâs a drive through so itâs super Covid safe and there is plenty of parking if you want to go in and order. After the pandemic, Iâll be back here for sure and I hope many people do the same. God bless...
Read moreGot a suggestion from a friend so I checked it out. I ordered grilled pork patty spring rolls, shrimp and pork spring rolls, Bånh mÏ special and crispy pork belly, Bånh mÏ bò kho, and plain Baguettes. The grilled pork patty spring rolls were good but the patties seemed to have fish in it, 2 of us acknowledged it, other than some fishy bits I think it tastes better than Brodard's. The shrimp and pork spring rolls were good, the peanut dipping sauce is way better than Brodard's. Bò kho was the worst, the appearance was appetizing but the taste was too sweet and the flavor barely came through. Bånh mÏ special was pretty good. Bånh mÏ crispy pork belly was abit plain and needed more "salt" or perhaps Maggie sauce. The plain Baguettes are very authentic Vietnamese bread, too light airy and dry for my taste and can hurt your gums because of dryness, however it has abit buttery flavor and made fresh at the store. Service was awesome! The location is out of my way but definitely will look them up when nearby. Just don't...
