Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Fountain Valley

This is a vegan review...

I loved this place before being vegan and love it still being vegan. I aim to eat a whole foods plant based diet and Chipotle is most of the way there for being a great fast food restaurant for people like me.

For a vegan animal friendly meal, here's what you need to exclude: Cheese/Queso, Sour Cream, Meat

Basically you can either replace your meat with sofritas which is made with soy or you can do my favorite. When you get a veggie bowl with no meat, they give you Free Guacamole! The whole meal tastes so good with a side of chips.

Now if you're avoiding oils and trying to be whole foods plant based, then you have a challenge. Skip the chips for sure because they are cooked in oil. The beans, rice and fajitas all have oil added, but if you're patient, did you know that they will cook them without oil for you? I'm not that picky when dining out which is why I usually...

MEH!!??.. NOT MY FAVORITE... I THINK THIS IS THE 2nd time in my whole life ive eaten here. The quesadilla (cheese only) was really one of the best cheese quesadillas ive ever had. BUT..... When I went to eat my bowl which I had half chicken and half carnitas... it was all cold. The cheese didn't even melt.... the Quac had too many onions in my opinion... the flavor of the bowl Or the meat was a smoky flavor which is not my favorite anyway and it was very goopy that had a bunch of guacamole sour cream and pico de gallo all of which was cold So of course it made the rice and meat cold also just not very good in my opinion.... It was better than most Chipotle. The staff was nice, I didn't see any obviously unsafe food practices and everything seemed fresh. Or went very well until...

Go to pay, the soda machine is down. Ok, things happen. Go sit and the table is dirty. Now if I saw someone walking around cleaning tables I would understand. Seriously, tables don't clean themselves and many customers are pigs. At lunch someone needs to be constantly walking around cleaning.

Fix the non-cleaning at lunch and I'll go 5 stars. On the other hand maybe this was a good day. It is Chipotle after all... You just never...
