El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Fountain Valley

The chicken salad is good. But my favorite, I love the Poblano burrito. My visit the last week of August 2012, I was disappointed that my Poblano burrito was not made to my satisfaction. All the ingredients were there, but I opened the wrapping of my burrito to find that my torilla was torn straight down the middle of the burrito, and so when I tried to carefully proceed to eat it, beans and rice kept falling out onto my lap, making it hard to enjoy my favorite burrito. It should not have been given to me the way it was.

It's just down the street from work, so location is good. Unfortunately getting out to head back to work from the drive-thru, I have to go out of my way and make a U-turn after turning right on Euclid as there is only one way to get out of the drive-thru. Once they forgot to give me my soda in drive-thru and I hadn't noticed until I was headed back to work on Warner. I was annoyed had to make another trip back which included making 2 more additional u-turns.

Though I love the poblano burrito, the few instances that bothered me make me wonder, why do I go back? If I get another unhappy experience, I may stop going to this location...

I rarely go to EPL, but saw the ads for the new pollo fit bowls and thought they looked good. I’m trying to eat healthier recently. I ordered the double chicken and mango bowl, and a 3 pc whole cut wings for my son. It cost over $15 for those 2 items. Got home and the salad was a complete joke. Very little overripe avocado, tiny scoop of frozen, tasteless mango, and the double chicken was double dry and tough. This salad says it's made with organic spinach. Idk if it’s organic, but there was hardly any spinach anyway. Now for the wings. I think they were from a quail or other small bird, they were way too tiny to be from a chicken. Also, I expected the drumstick and wing, not the tips, where there is no meat. Total ripoff. There are lots of other options for food. All of them better than this. El Pollo Loco is off my...

As of today I give this location a 1 star for bad customer service overall. Even the salsa bar was in bad conditions. Green sauce has absolutely no flavor as well as the creamy cilantro. The only thing I can give a good rating on is the food its self to whom ever prepared it. The chicken was delicious! Shout out to the cook back there for his grilling skills. I believe the manager needs to be retrained on how to be the manager as well as her cashier. Thanks, for the moment I will not be going to this location anymore. I will give it a couple months to see if things change. Thank you!
