They are trying but not there yet. For anyone who is a regular in the area, this used to be Sidewinders bar, a stale beer smelling dive but fun people. The new owners really cleaned the place up and it shows. It doesn't smell like stale beer and the food is so much better. However, it is not yet consistent. The first time, the service was slow but nice and helpful, the food was fantastic, nice wine selection with good beer on tap and we definately wanted to come back. The second time, the service was faster but one order was wrong. Quickly corrected but not as good in taste. Drinks were good. The 3rd visit the service was horrible. We waited 20 minutes for the server to take our drinks and one drink was a hot cider. When it was finally delivered the cider was barely warm. While we waited for the server to come back with drinks and take our order, the floor manager came by and said "Are you done with your menus?" We said we hadn't ordered yet and she said, "well, do you know what you want?" We said yes and she took our menus to give to another table but did not take our order. She said our server was busy on the computer and would be with us soon. WTH? When we finally got our order in we waited another 30 minutes! One order with onions rings was stone cold. The other orders were ok but not fabulous. When we complained about the onion rings the server apologised and 5 minutes later brought a new basket that was hot. We finished and had to find our server for our ticket in order to pay. We were there from 1:15 to 4pm and not really by choice, it was just that slow. The floor manager asked us if we were ready to leave and we said we were waiting for our credit card to come back. The server apologized and said the kitchen was short handed and orders were now taking an hour. The floor manager bused tables but never helped the servers. The place was full and had people waiting to sit. This place has good possibilities but it needs more cooking staff and a better floor manager. Hoping that it improves as a good food and drink place is needed in the area. Will try again but if it has not improved it will be...
Read moreMy friends and I stopped in here for a bite on our way home from a ziplining excursion and our stomachs were immediately growling at the smoky bbq scent wafting through the door as we walked in. They were slammed with customers and clearly short staffed but we were still greeted by a hostess within moments of our arrival at the front door. She personally cleaned off a dirty table for us, making sure to disinfect it before she cheerfully sat us down with menus. There was notably only one waitress working but she took our drink and food orders in a timely fashion. It did take quite awhile for our food to arrive but when it finally did we all tore into our meals with relish, commenting in between bites how fresh and delicious everything tasted. I was particularly appreciative of how much care was given to the presentation and quality of each of our meals. Even though the kitchen was behind and trying to get food out as fast as they could, my pulled pork sandwich was neatly stacked with a even spread of BBQ sauce and fresh coleslaw on top. It wasn't a haphazard hot mess and the fries were legit the perfect texture and doneness. My friend had nachos and you could tell that the tortilla chips were hand cut and freshly made and the toppings were evenly LAYERED between the chips. At the end of our meal, I mentioned to the waitress that we wanted to express our compliments to the cooks and she was kind enough to send the owner over to our table moments later who had come in that day to help in the kitchen because they were so shorthanded. We left with smiles on our faces and very happy bellies and I truly feel that the people working at this establishment are a genuinely lovely bunch. We could tell they were busy and working very hard and in our opinion, they aced it all...
Read moreUPDATE AS OF 09/2022!! Unfortunately this place has become a bit ran down and understaffed. The last three times I have given it a shot I have been there for over two hours waiting for my food. And even then it always comes out cold or with something wrong. Additionally the place is always like 85° inside so it's impossible to be comfortable while you're waiting for your food. Super disappointing as it was one of our favorite places to go in Pine.
I want to start off by saying this is a more top dollar place, with that being said you absolutely get what you pay for. Servings sizes are great. Atmosphere is fun and enjoyable. We had live music while we were there. Wait time for table was almost nothing and it was busy. Wait time for food was a bit longer than I'd like but for the quality one cannot argue at all. Pictured is the cowboy burger with sweet potatoes fries and onion rings. I loved it all. I don't drink but they seem to have a large variety of drinks. Service was exceptional and delightful. Will deffinatly be coming back...
