I own a business in the same facility and wanted to come eat dinner with my husband. The purple toad was busy and so we were escorted over to the L shaped seating area where me and my husband waited for our food server. She was prompt and got us our drinks immediately. Then it took her a long time to come back to us and said oh did you wanna order food when we had menus sitting in front of us for roughly about 20 minutes. We placed our orders and our server I believe had extremely too many tables for her to service us appropriately . I do not remember her name. Then after we placed our food order, she came back and filled my husbandâs drink order again. We waited for that and still no food, she dropped off my husbandâs drink and then it took another 10 minutes before I asked her. Where is our food ? The woman said let me go check then in five minutes she came back with our food. I ordered the sampler appetizer and my husband ordered the American cheeseburger. Came out cold and my sampler pattern had plastic sitting on the loaded potatoes. So I got up and I walked my food around to the window and there was a food server there and older woman with a ponytail and it was loud music is playing people are talking and I said my food server brought this food to me. Itâs cold and it has plastic on it. Melissa came around the corner and raised her voice at me and said I was yelling at her food server and I was not, and sheâs the general manager of the property or the business I guess. She was very rude. She told me that sheâll remove the stuff from my tickets and respectfully asked me to leave , while my husband is sitting down eating.. I was quietly waiting for my husband to finish his Food. Melissa reapproached me and said I need you to leave this facility or I will call the police after I was explaining my food was cold and my husband was sitting there eating and waiting for him to finish . There was no other altercation. There was no other words. There was nothing said to the general manager. Melissa runs this business very poorly and does not handle things appropriately. Iâm sorry my client told me to come back to this facility after I knew it was bad and now this is my experience that I have coming back When I was told the food service and the people were great wow I beg to differ on this anyway.    Read moreUPDATE: We have gone back a few times since posting this. Things have reverted back to how they used to be. Rachel is great and really helps to hold that place together. We went in with a group of friends, apparently it was a 45 minute wait the second you walked in for food, we were not informed of this detail. It took about 15 minutes for the drinks to come out(6 of the 9 drinks were soda) our friends ordered the exact same drink and they were not made the same way. My husband typically orders a tall beer and each time he gets a new glass, itâs a different size. We decided to order appetizers, still unaware of the 45 minute wait time, which our server failed to inform us on. After about an hour of waiting for appetizers, we decided with how long it had been we should probably order our meals. The meals took another hour or longer before it was brought out. When the food was brought out to the table, my husband was playing pool and our server spilled an entire container of ranch down his back. The food was gross, over cooked for some, undercooked for others. We have decided that we will not be returning as this has become to new normal even with the new ownership.
We came in for dinner tonight after the place went under new ownership. We had previously had terrible service, food, attitudes etc and really danced on the fence to give it one last try. Iâm glad to say we did! All the food was delicious, hot, and you could really tell the cooks were putting forth effort to do things the right way. Our server was fantastic, friendly and very attentive. The only thing that I can truly complain about is the table we were seated at, the pool table is literally in the middle of the back seating area and my children had to move their heads numerous times to avoid being hit in the back of the head by the men who were playing pool and not always paying attention to where the stick was. We will definitely be returning and hope that things continue...
   Read moreWe are locals and have tried this place five times hoping for a better experience but tonight was the final straw! In the past we have dealt with poor service, messed up ordered, stale chips and wrong charges on our bill, however we took our out of town in-laws there and have never been more embarrassed!! We came in right behind a group of 5 and then there was a group of 10 behind us. We had to ask for menus, ask for someone to get our drinks while the 3 waitresses and the man ( who I believe was the manager on duty) was standing at their computer talking, eating and putting gum in their mouth. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks (waters and pop) and then I had to ask another waitress to please take our food order because the other girl never came back. After waiting 45 min with no one checking on us, or asking for a refill, I had to go get a waitress and ask her where our food was. The table of 10 who came in after us already had their food and was eating and the group of 5 that came in 2 minutes before us already had their food, ate it and was paying and we had nothing!! After another 30 min of waiting and no food I told her to cancel the order and we were leaving.. Her response was "you still have to pay for your drinks."
FIRST: I had ever intention of paying for our drinks, and never said I wasnât paying for them.
SECOND: If you or your management team cared half as much about your customers as you do gossiping and eating when your on the floor suppose to be working this post would not have been written!!
I've been a waitress for 8 years and I get how hard a rush can be, BUT YOU STILL NEED TO HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Neither the manager nor the waitress even apologized. Just freaking say your sorry, it would go a long way!
For gosh sakes it was only a TUESDAY night, I'd hate to see this place on the weekends.
