This hotel restaurant has a good menu, very good food, a chill ambience, and decent prices. Our food (fry bread with green chili, steak and potatoes, soup and a salad) all was good - except for my steak, which was a bit overcooked andchewy (asked for medium rare). However, service here is bad. Getting seated took a while (they had a waiting list), then drinks took 20 minutes (actually we had to remind the server we had ordered soda), then food took probably another 20-30 minutes and was not served together (my mom's entre salad came out way before the hot entrees and so she was almost done by the time we got our plates). They also did not have the soup we ordered/was on the menu but didn't tell us that; we just got a random other soup that we didn't want. And, I asked for a different side than I received. The server was nice but, it was disappointing to have things missing or wrong and to wait so much.

I’ve been staying at the Hampton Inn for the last week nearly and I’ve had dinner in the attached restaurant many nights. I recommend going with the specials as things are pricey otherwise but entirely worth it!!! The staff are excellent and so very friendly they made me feel like home and I enjoyed seeing them and chatting with them everyday! Now, for the best advice you’ll get... if you can only afford to eat here one night then it has to be Wednesday for the braised lamb shank!!!!! Don’t doubt me. Just do it. For dessert grab a mud pie and a couple spoons if you’re not alone. Enjoy!! I wish tomorrow was Wednesday again omg!

Last night after a day of exploring at Monument Valley, my boyfriend and I were starving and looking for food! The restaurant was super full and for good reason. I had the Rosemary Chicken, and my BF the Black Bean Soup and Grilled Veggie. To end our meal was the epic Navajo Frybread with cinnamon apples & ice cream 😱 Reuben Heflin restaurant is a hidden gem inside the nicest Hampton Inn I’ve ever been in! The only restaurant open in the area that we could find until 10PM, with amazing selection of Navajo & Western food and great service. Food prices extremely reasonable.

Not good for vegetarians. The high ratings made our group of 4 think that we will have a good experience but it turned out to be disappointing. The restaurant is inside the Hampton inn. The menu didn't have a lot of Vegetarian options and our waitress was quite unapologetic in letting us know that she couldn't customize anything on the menu to make it vegetarian. We ended up ordering onion fritters, a veg margarita pizza and some veg pasta and mushroom burger. The only vegetarian pasta on the menu was listed as a side, so we requested the waitress to make it a full main-course size and add vegetables to it. What we ended up getting was a disaster. The pizza had excessive salt on one side and no salt on the other side and was undercooked on the edges. The pasta was horrible, firstly they served us 2 sepearate sides of pasta and one sepearate side of steamed vegetables instead of combining that into one main course. Secondly each pasta side was just boiled pasta and a heaped spoonful of marinara on top (not even mixed in). The marinara didn't have fresh taste and almost felt like it was a canned version. The mushroom burger was decent. The place only had drip coffee and we wanted to share coffee amongst ourselves so we asked for 2cups, the waitress didn't pay attention and got us 2 more cups of coffee. The waitress was also incapable of handling multiple instructions. We had asked her to cut the burger into 2halves which she missed and the ketchup we asked for didn't come until we were all done and were ready for dessert. The only good thing we had here was the Oreo mud pie dessert. Our group will definitely not return to...

The food was ok, not bad, ok but the service was terrible. My hubby and I sometimes share meals on vacation not only to save money but also because we just can't eat that much. When we do both order our own meals, we always have to get to-go boxes. We were tent traveling so keeping left overs isn't so easy or practical. We understand wait staff are still serving 2 of us so we always tip more for this reason, well that didn't happen this time. When we ordered our drinks, things were fine but as soon as we said we were sharing our food boy did the attitude change. The waitress was clearly irritated by our order and even discussed it with a fellow waitress. The service became ice cold until it was time to bring the check then it was "have a good evening" and she even cracked a smile. I think my husband gave her 10% which, for me, she was lucky...
