The food is terrific (98% of the time): generous portions, reasonably priced, with a good variety, from appetizers, to FABULOUS salads, pizzas, sandwiches, pastas. Do ask about their meal and dessert SPECIALS that change monthly - the $20-30 steak Special and the $17 Fish & Chips Special are especially excellent, and popular enough to have appeared every 2-3 months. Savory choices are plentiful; dessert choices are few. I didn't like the bread pudding and the banana cream pie, although seems others like those enough that they are standard menu offerings. There's a $4.50 Root Beer Float and a $7.50 Banana Split. This month there's a Nutella Cheesecake special, though, for $8. Additionally, the helpful, attentive, caring restaurant manager Cynthia told me there's a delicious Reese's Peanut Butter Pie. The wait staff ought to be telling customers about these non-menu items.
You can enjoy an alcoholic drink while playing a small selection of slot machines, only at Stadium 66 and the Pub - nice.
All the walls have large TVs tuned to many different sports events, and a massive TV screen too.
The SERVICE* can be improved, ESPECIALLY the bartenders*, but we customers ought to be understanding while they continue to hire and train during/after the pandemic.
First, 98% of all employees throughout ALL the Rt 66 facilities are friendly, conscientious of Covid-safety. Hostess Ashley and busser Chad were particularly helpful on a recent visit. One waitress - blonde Jenny - is GREAT, most are average, and 3-4 have really lacked service skills. There are 2 young guys of the dozen+ BARTENDERS who have been especially great: both Patrick and Jaden are personable, with good memories, and genuine, friendly, helpful, attentive qualities. The other bartenders I've experienced need to be more friendly, attentive, and know the drink prices, instead of aloofly serving drinks, or chatting with their fellow colleagues. The bartender supervisor of last autumn chats with his staff like a high school clique the few times I've seen him, and once when there was a missing food issue that I brought to his attention, he didn't even get back to me regarding that, nor make the situation right.
Despite the few service and food issues, I do recommend Stadium 66 for their (usually) terrific dishes, variety, and...
Read moreWow, haven't been back since COVID, I was thinking food would still be good. Decent drinks. Well post COVID something's are worse. For example. I decided to pick two simple items, because I didn't want to buy a dinner I really did not enjoy. I ordered 6 wings and green chile stew. First of all the wings were raw, I had to check each one. I showed the server, who kinda gave a smirk when I told her and showed her. Then she had to bring out the manager , I showed him and he exchanged them. It takes 12 mins for raw chicken wings to cook. Temp should be 165, when finished. Frozen wings take 8mins to cook. And who the heck puts wings on lettuce?? And celery strings?? It was a greasy mess. The green chile stew is a disgrace and not what NM stands for. Making a fusion confusion thing. Boiled pork, frozen chile, bland broth, green onions, tomatoes, ugh it did not make sense. It's like the Rachel Ray recipe. Never again. The bartender did not make a good chelada, she ended up wasting the beer. And was going to serve it. I said no, my money I paid going down the drain. I'll just take the bottle and pour it myself. The servers were rude, just stood around talking, the bartender had no clue or confidence in making a simple drink. They acted like high schoolers and the teacher let them run a mock. It was really empty for Wednesday night. Bad for sales and...
Read moreThis is an excellent bar, we went for Super Bowl 57 and had an absolute blast!
Kayla, our waitress, took care of our table even though it turned into like 10 people and handled it like a pro. Please, upper level management, give this young lady a raise! She is a true gem, a hard worker, and does it with a smile! Drinks stayed replinished throughout, and the food was always brought out timely!
The food was surprisingly excellent. The pizza, steaks, and the highlight was the garbage can nachos! They have a little of everything, including stews, wings, burgers, dogs, and even some deserts! Eveyone in our group continually kept pointing out how good the food was! Hats off to the chef for sure!
They had several drawlings and gave out several autographed helmets after each quarter as well as lots of money. Eric and i forgot the other managers' names were both good people and easy to deal with. They definitely run a good sports bar.
There are tons of TVs everywhere and you won't miss any sports action.
We will be back for...
