The staff handled an unfavorable situation with class and fairness. I am only writing this review to be informative to prospective customers about a particular menu item. This review is not meant to dissuade anyone from visiting this restaurant. In fact, I may return because the good things outweighed the one major complaint that I will describe below.
First, I would like to discuss the good things. After walking in, the bartender was courteous and helpful by getting us seated. I noticed right away that the restaurant is orderly, clean, and inviting. Some might have an issue with the lighting, but that's subjective. They have adequate seating with excellent views of several TV's placed strategically. I will give the atmosphere a 5/5.
They seem to have the perfect amount of staff. In the wait staff's free time, they were preparing table settings or utensils. This is exactly what customers like to see. They check on their customers and give appropriate time for guests to decide. No complaints about the service. 5/5
The strawberry salmon salad was delicious. They include good fruit with the kids meals. The portion sizes are fair for the price. Without any complaints, I would rate the food 4/5. Unfortunately, as of now it's 3/5.
The boneless wings are not made with actual whole muscle chicken like you would expect to receive at a restaurant for what they cost. They are foamy on the inside. They have a strange taste and smell. They should be using only chicken breast white meat. No exceptions.
I mentioned this to our waitress and she subsequently discussed it with her manager. The manager approached our table and informed me that she would not be charging me for the unsatisfactory item mentioned above. The manager should introduce herself by name and job title right before engaging in conversation with customers. She should also acknowledge that this product could easily be replaced (and should be). My advice/request to replace the item with one of better quality was greeted with slight skepticism.
For now, I will give this restaurant a 3/5 simply because food quality is a major category of utmost importance. My reviews are made with the intention of improving and strengthening existing establishments.
Closing thoughts: While it was appreciated, refunding a customer's money really only helps the situation morally . If I want to buy boneless wings, I would try literally any other place rather than return to yours. That should...
Read moreDecided to randomly stop in for an app and a tap w my homie;). It was around 830pm ish on a Friday. So the dinner rush was just winding down, and the staff was very busy. Waited about a good 10 mins before we were noticed...then ordered everything right away...the bartender got out food order in..and food came out quick.. we just had the risotto balls and something I forgot at this point:)... but the balls were ok. Needed a better sauce I say....we then waited for anyone to return to check on us ask for refills or anything....granted it was busy every1 is short staffed...yes..but when you sit and observe he 3 bartenders randomly taking other people's drinks and refilling them clearing plates and having conversations when customers are waiting all over the bar...I think that needs addressing.... we felt ignored and not happy. Several different times I tried getting the attention of the bartenders but also ways too deep into conversations w more important customers....I hope they get their priorities straight and or find better help ...because every customer deserves the best treatment from the moment they walk in the door....no 1 person or group should better than the next. Great customer service gets get tips and RETURNING customers:)...And great reviews! And I LOVEEE writing GREAT reviews to share so many others can visit and support our hospitality businesses...I sure hope this can be addressed and every1 gets the best service! From the time we walked in, the server was angry and rude. She first asked if we had a reservation. No, we didn't. It was a last minute idea and being a Tuesday it wasn't really that busy. She then emphatically said " well, it will have to be on one check". We understand, as we were a larger group. I arrived a bit later , as I had just finished working. She had already taken the other orders and asked if I knew what I wanted to drink. I said I'll have a Cuba Libre with diet Coke. And what do you want to eat? I had just picked up the menu and did not have a chance to look at it. She said "let me know what you want, so I can put it in with the rest of the orders". I said again, I just picked up the menu. I guess I'll have the Panini. She comes back with my drink and it's a diet Coke? I drank it down and waited for my food. Before the food arrived, she stopped back and asked me if I wanted a refill. I started to explain that the drink was wrong and should have been a Cuba Libre. She said, "we don't have that brand"? I said that it's not a brand, it's a drink. She said, "so, do you want it"?
