I stayed here from 3/31 until 4/2 for a project through my employer. The corporate rate at this hotel save about 10 dollars per day compared to booking directly through through cobblestone website. I arrived around 9pm Sunday night and had to ring a bell to get checked in but the process was very smooth. The rooms seemed very dated for a newer hotel although the pictures from the areas past were a nice touch. The bathroom garbage had not been changed before I checked in and the only outlet next to the bed that worked was the one with the alarm clock plugged in. On Tuesday I arrived at the hotel around 4pm to find the power had gone out due to a snow storm. Nobody was around to talk to so I assumed it happened recently, unsure if I could get into my room I went outside to connect with my family. Upon reentry, I was informed by the manager of the chophouse that I could access my room because the entry cards are on a battery backup, so I went to the 4th floor thinking I would get a nap in or just sit. I didn't realize that all of the heat was part of the same electric outage, I guess I had hoped it was gas heat of some sort. Around 7 pm I headed back down to go get some food and work.i asked for an update on the electricity to which I was told it should be back on at 7pm but they they were not optimistic because the gas station across the road had just lost power as well. I informed them that I would be back between 1 and 1:30am so hopefully the power would be restored by then. When I arrived at 1:30 it looked like a ghost hotel. The front door was locked but I was able to access the side with my key card. The flood lights were dim from being on battery for over 8 hours and nobody was in sight, but there was talking in the chophouse. All of the other surrounding businesses had power restored by this point. I went up to my room, gathered my belongings and loaded up. Then went back in and knocked on the chophouse door to see what was going on. The grill manager recognized me and said someone was there trying to get the power restored but it was not looking good and told me a night auditor was the only person left on the hotel side and they did not know where they went. I told them I was gonna head out and proceeded to email the hotel from my vehicle prior to leaving hoping to avoid a penalty of some kind and drove home to central wisconsin. Needing a receipt for reimbursement, I attempted to contact the hotel but received only a busy signal. Assuming the hotel we still without power I looked up the corporate office and called them, they passed along my concern and said I would be hearing from someone. A few days later the charge finally hits my account so I call the hotel again and greet a hold of someone, I share my concerns and ask for a receipt. The receipt was sent promptly and I did not hear from anyone regarding my concerns. I was charged almost 400 dollars for 2 nights and 1 completely unusable night due to power and heat loss. I finally heard from a new gm today who informed me that my company rate is so good that they cannot offer me any compensation other than 15 percent off a future stay. Unfortunately due to a lack of customer service and the room being subpar for premium prices I cannot recommend this specific hotel. Due to poor management, lack of accountability, and poor customer service I cannot recommend this...
Read moreI was so disappointed with the service and the lack of respect for ALL guests. We were in town for a very important wedding dress shopping appointments. My other 2 daughters flew in from TN for this event. The hotel was pretty full with a home GB packer game, but mostly, a youth cheerleading competition took over multiple rooms. We knew at that point that the pool area would be loud and crowded. As a parent of 6, I had no issue with that. However, large groups of kids were RUNNING up and down the halls & in the stairwells all evening through the night well into 1am. We went to the front desk and complained. Nothing was done. My husband went down again and nothing was done by the lady on duty. The next night same thing! He went down and the young man assured him they had had complaints and he would talk to the parents and let the night manager know. Needless to say, after an expensive stay, none of us got any sleep, and my daughter's flew out at 630 am exhausted. I would recommend finding a hotel that respects all...
Read moreOverall, it was a good stay. We were in town for the Packers game and stayed 3 nights. It felt like no one was there on Friday night and Saturday morning. We had a great experience in the restaurant. Great beer selection and good appetizers and food. Saturday morning, I was all by myself for breakfast. The breakfast was decent, compared to other free hotel breakfasts. The breakfast area is small, so on Sunday morning, especially it was full, and the food was going fast. The staff did an admirable job keeping things stocked. Overall, our extended stay king suite with a kitchenette was great. We had room in the living area although the sofa wasn't the most comfortable. The bathroom was basic but functional. Shampoo, body wash and conditioner bottles in the shower. Plenty of towels for the two of us. The bed was decent, fairly comfy, no major complaints there. I would stay here again if in the area. Prices were elevated obviously due to the Packers game, but that's what we came for. This was a bucket list...
