Well. For starters, I drove home after getting a drive thru order and discovered I was given chicken instead of fish. No big deal.
I come back with the order and receipt in hand and inform the man working the front counter that I had ordered fish, but was given chicken.
The blond girl who took my order loudly stated that "you said chicken" in earshot of employees and customers.
I seriously doubt I said chicken instead of fish, but I did not choose to argue about it, so I just asked for fish instead and was gonna leave it at that. The blond girl informs the chef, who looks down for a few seconds and then literally drops the box of fish onto the counter.
At this point I feel like there is some sort of attitude brewing due to my return to the store for the correct order, so I ask if the cameras include audio. After asking that question, the girl stated "I must have heard it wrong."
After getting the pushback from the girl, and the dropped food from the male chef, I felt they must have thought that I was greedily trying to scam them of two pieces of fish and were taking their attitudes out as such.
The man (whom I originally spoke to upon returning, not the chef in the back) at the front counter gave me the fish and did not participate in the unwelcoming behavior, argue or offer negativr body language.
It was just an unusual experience over two pieces of fish.
Since we are doing this review, I feel the need to point out that they did not have the tarter sauce, cocktail sauce or lemons out at the bar like many Captain D's do. The prepackaged tarter was yellow in color and did not taste like the standard captain D's tarter sauce. A huge let down.
They did have the ketchup pump out though.
The exact second as I walked out, the chef shouted from the kitchen "yaaaaay!"
We had no other interactions and it's unfortunate the staff would make this interaction so unusual.
I would urge managment to watch the video and listen to audio of the interaction.
Approx 6:10pm....
Read moreIn this day and age, it is rare to find a fast food restaurant that provides great service and great food at a great price much less do so on a consistent basis. My wife and I recently began dining at the Frankfort Captain D's Versailles Road location and I can not adequately describe just how fantastic our dining experiences have been here. When we find a restaurant that excels in all areas like Staxx (Frankfort), Raising Canes (Nicholasville) and every Chic-fil-a location, we can't wait to sing its praises and look forward to returning. This Captain D's is just that great. The food is always cooked hot and fresh to order, served at your table on actual plates in a spotless restaurant that plays great music. I really can not say enough good things. We drive past another Captain D's that is ten minutes closer to get to this location and will continue to do so. It really feels live a 5-star experience and should probably win the award for best Captain...
Read moreMy order was cooked fresh. It was very well prepared. I usually order a grilled whitefish and shrimp skewered dinner with extra seasonings. It is really good. I always substitute an ear of corn for the slaw. I am not a fan of CD's slaw. The cabbage itself is not chopped fine enough for my taste. Pink Pig barbeque had the best in town and unfortunately, Scotty and Clayton, God bless them, are no longer around (Jim's Seafood has the closest to that wonderful slaw!). CD's grilled fish also gives you rice pilaf with this dinner and they serve you steamed broccoli. I sub. fries instead however; I have gotten a small baked potato sometimes, other than the broccoli. The grilled dinner is one of their highest priced dinners they offer, especially if you substitute. You are charged each time you do. Your dinner ends up being about $9. and up. But it is...
