Best. Coffee. Around. Period! For years I was a "Starbucks Only" kind of guy. That was until my wife told me about the new coffee shop that opened up in town and how amazing it was. I have been hooked ever since. Jimmy and Allison run an incredible operation. It's run by a family and they treat every customer who walks in as one of their own. Jimmy can run circles around Starbucks baristas when it come to his beyond expert knowledge of beans, roasting, coffee, espresso, milks, you name it. Seriously, he is that good. Every time I go in there (which is now every day) I feel like Norm from Cheers. Ever customer who walks through that door is met with smiles, laughs, respect and that feeling that you are the most important person in the room. They care and it shows how they run their operation.
Their coffee is far, far superior to Starbucks. Yeah, it's THAT FREAKING GOOD! No exaggeration. And so is there customer service. This comes from a loyal Starbucks guy for decades. I haven't had to tell them my latte order for months because as soon as I walk in everyone knows my drink. It makes you feel incredibly special. And that first sip is simply heaven!
Try their Legender Pour Over. What the hell is a "legender pour what the hell" you say? Ask Allison, Jimmy or Sean to make you one and you will be hooked. Your mind will be blown! If not, they will make sure they make you something that will blow your mind to your liking.
One of the best parts of my day is going in to Roast'd for my daily afternoon coffee run. And it will be yours too. You won't be...
Read moreMy preferred coffee shop when available and in the vicinity. I genuinely wish they were more accessible, primarily because I could easily walk down the street from my residence.
Jim, Allison, and Shawn (if I remember correctly) are exceptional individuals. The entire staff is incredibly welcoming and recognizes regulars by name. Even if you visit occasionally, they greet you warmly. This level of familiarity is uncommon in “tourist” coffee shops like Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts. Occasionally, you may encounter a barista who genuinely remembers you.
The application is straightforward and user-friendly. However, I advise against ordering baked goods in advance, as they may not be available if you visit in the afternoon. Instead, I recommend ordering your coffee and tea through the app and placing an in-person order for a croissant.

Read morePour City Roasters is truly a gem in the heart of Franklin Lakes! As a regular, I can confidently say that this coffee shop has become my go-to spot for a refreshing pick-me-up, especially their cocoa mocha berry iced coffee which is simply divine.
What sets Pour City Roasters apart is not just their outstanding coffee, which they roast on-site, but also the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the owners, Jim and Allison, along with their son Sean. Their kindness and commitment to customer service are evident in every visit, making you feel like part of the family.
The staff is equally friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and a recommendation if you're unsure what to try next. Plus, the prices are incredibly reasonable, allowing you to indulge in high-quality coffee without breaking the bank.
Since I discovered Pour City Roasters, I've found it impossible to visit any other coffee shop. The experience here is unmatched, and every cup serves as a reminder of why I love supporting local businesses. If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by—you won't be...
