A truly wonderful evening was had at Harmony Mediterranean Grill last night as I celebrated my 50th birthday with a dinner there with my 7 closest friends. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck a perfect balance – warm and inviting, yet elegant enough for a special occasion.
Our party of eight was seated comfortably, we started at 4:30pm to avoid their busiest time, but I would even recommend starting at 4. The service was impeccable from start to finish. Our server was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and struck an impeccable balance of being present without hovering.
They effortlessly handled all our requests, with genuine smiles and efficiency. It truly felt like they were genuinely invested in ensuring we had a wonderful time.
The food, as always (I eat at this location a lot) was perfect. Every dish that arrived. I ordered for us since I was familiar with the menu, but that was my request since my friends weren’t familiar. We started with a variety of appetizers, including their hummus, cacik and shepherd salad, which came with their signature warm, pillowy bread. I also love their cheese rolls, so I’ll put that recommendation out there. For our main courses, we opted for a Harmony Grill For 4 so we could sample varieties of chicken and lamb that I hadn’t had before. I was grateful we did because I had a chance to learn that I love the adana, which I was too chicken to order a whole dish of on my own previously. We supplemented our sampler platter with some of my favorite kebab dishes and a vegetable plate and served them family style. Each seasoned to perfection and incredibly juicy. Everyone at our table cheered the presentation and explanation of the food and left feeling impressed and satisfied, but not uncomfortably full. We brought our own birthday cake and supplemented with Turkish coffee and a few of Harmony’s desserts, the rice pudding and milk custard for those that had dietary restrictions that kept them from the cake, and to taste some of their authentic desserts.
Harmony Mediterranean Grill provided the ideal, comfortable setting for a joyous birthday celebration. The time just flew by, we were having such a good time in those comfortable chairs! The combination of tasty food, a charming atmosphere, and outstanding service made for an evening that exceeded all our expectations. So now I know that Harmony is perfect for me taking myself out to eat, eating with a few friends, Door Dashing, or if I’m looking for a truly exceptional dining experience for a special occasion. Thank you so much Harmony...
Read moreHarmony Mediterranean Grill Restaurant is by far one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I've been to. The decor, lighting, seats (SUPER COMFORTABLE) and friendly service was Exceptional!. Appetizers - We ordered the Large Mix Appetizer platter (Hummus, Babaganush, Piyaz and Lebni). For a group of 4 of us, this was perfect as we were able to order a variety and it be satisfying. All of these appetizers were delicious and the presentation was nice as well. Main Course - I ordered the Branzino and the portion size was more than plentiful. My friends ordered the chicken kebab which they all loved. Dessert - We ordered the Backlava, Cold Backlava, Kunefee and some other pastry I can't recall. The desserts were not overly sweet nor sugary and all delicious. Overall, I feel as though the food is not overly processed as it is in many restaurants where you are left feeling lethargic after eating your meal. We did take our time eating which was great and we did not feel as though we were being rushed by the wait staff. The owner, Mark, walked around interacting with patrons in the restaurant. Now this owner was not only having conversations with patrons; but connecting with them on a personal level which I've honestly never seen before. It was great to actually listen and relate to the business owner. I will definitely visit again and keep this restaurant in mind when looking for a Mediterranean meal. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of the food since we were...
Read moreNormally when I review a restaurant, I'll talk about the food, and go into details about the dishes. The food is delicious, but enough about the food. What I found sets this lovely bring your own wine restaurant is the charm and COMFORT. The chairs alone are enough for me to wax poetic. I have never sat in such comfort in a restaurant before, and these chairs surpass the comfort I have found in many homes. I, for one, sat and talked longer with my friends, enjoyed a lovely cup of tea because I felt at home. Even though the restaurant was crowded, and there was a large party, the noise level was low. I could hear my companions and service staff, but not the neighboring diners. I must also compliment the staff for the attentive service, and the friendly welcome. One of our party had never had Turkish food before and the Maitre D' explained several things about the food and menu, as was also done with the dessert. Harmony is lovely. Come for the food, stay for...
