This place is amazing and it's a shame I don't see more guys writing reviews for it. Talk about missing out; stop pretending y'all don't like tea and sweets, honestly!
Legit great tea selection served with a care and class well above the unassuming strip mall exterior off Rt 27...one of those "best kept secret" kind of places. The interior itself is just as excellent, being spacious and well-decorated with very comfortable seating for large groups or for pairs. That said it's not over-the-top with the aesthetic either; it stops right at "pleasant" just before being overly-indulgent.
They also have a surprisingly good food menu to provide savory eats alongside the tea choices and sweets. These include teatime classics likes scones (with clotted cream, freakin' delicious) and flaky mini-croissants, as well as unexpected fried options. The sweets are nice too, though I'd say most of these are simply "good" rather than "great" (with a few exceptions). We had the "Afternoon Tea" set serve us a wide assortment of finger food, so it gave us plenty to eat and compare while enjoying the flavorful teas...I had a wonderful jasmine and he had a creamy matcha green, bolstered by the surprise avocado smoothies in the set. The tea itself was served perfectly with lovely cups and pots, and the small teapot heater stands kept the temperature perfect throughout our meal.
I can't believe that up until now I'd only DoorDashed the place. Honestly if I'd an S.O. I'd probably be here at least twice a month, but I'm still lucky enough to be blessed with a friend that doesn't give a damn about traditional appearances. We'll be back for sure at some point, as I need to learn more and try all sorts of teas. Be sure to check 'em out!
(EDIT: Just wanted to add that I see a review or two claiming poor staff service, but we had the exact opposite experience. The person serving us was excellent and got a well-deserved cash tip, and the others assisting them were...
Read moreOur daughter, who loves tea houses, suggested that it might be a fun idea to have her bridal shower in one. Found this place and it turned out to be the best decision ever! The entire experience was handled perfectly from beginning to end. We could not be any more satisfied with Rebecca and Prince Tea house. I originally went with my husband to have lunch and check out this place. We met with the owner Rebecca who, by the way, is just about the nicest person you'll ever meet. She spent so much time with us (newbies to the tea house thing) and went out of her way to explain different options and menu choices. We were so impressed, that even though it is an hour away, we booked a date right on the spot. Due to the amount of guests to be invited, we booked the entire place which closed the restaurant for the time of the event. Leading up to the event, I needed to contact Rebecca many, many times with questions regarding the menu, table layout and even some special dietary requests. There was a quick response every time, even sending me pictures to aid with seating etc. It is beyond clear that she is intensely focused on customer satisfaction and wants her customers to be happy. Fast forward to the day of the shower. Since we had booked the entire place it made it a little easier to arrive early to decorate. We were able to move some things around to accommodate our specific needs. The setup and food not only met, but exceeded, our expectations. All the food, which was plentiful, was presented beautifully and every single one of the guests commented on how delicious everything was. Even the high tea was included. The staff was extremely attentive and kept on top of things. An extremely happy bride-to-be, highly impressed guests, unbelievably delicious food, an awesome atmosphere with a fantastic owner and staff. This event was about as near a perfect experience as anyone could expect. I highly suggest that you run, don't walk, to...
Read moreI cannot express how amazing this place is! You MUST come here. My family and I went on Father's day - Super clean, super aesthetic, great space so you don't feel claustrophobic. My family was nicely greeted by Rebecca, the manager. Our waiter/friend was Frank (I believe that is his name, if I got it wrong please forgive me), and they were more than accommodating. They just opened so they explained everything and how it works and what dishes and teas were the best to have. Rebecca made it her mission to come chat with us and know our names and ask us if there should be any improvement to make us feel more comfortable. She welcomed criticism but there truly wasn't any to give. The whole place made you feel like home and everyone was super kind. Now the tea - AMAZING. As a fellow Brit who obsesses over tea, their selection was out of this world. The tea and teapot were beautifully done and the mini heaters were adorable and well used. My family and I ordered the earl grey black tea, the milk tea, the peach iced tea, and the lavender tea. All were delicious! If you like more bitter tasting things, I recommend the lavender tea. If you like milky-hearty tea I recommend the earl grey, you can never go wrong with the earl grey! (They also heat up their milk - top tier tea drinking!). The iced peach tea was so refreshing! We also ordered the taro souffle which was heaven - totally a must have if you come here! We also had the trio - which consisted of a berry tart, matcha green muffins and an eclair. ALL were fantastic, each small bites but big enough to share with four people if you're not that hungry. Everything was amazing and I cannot stress how kind, generous, and beautiful everyone and everything was. You have to come here for a tea stop before or after your meal! Princeton has finally found...
