Very beautiful Indian Temple. All main Hindu God’s and Goddesses are present. The priests can perform puja and all havan puja services are available for a fee. Daily Aarti is about 6:30-7pm depending on the season and day (please check their website for exact timings and details).
Pavan Shastriji Panditji has been there from almost 14 years. I remember him as he came to perform our new house Havan and puja 14 years back. All Other new priests are also good they come and go.
I had one unpleasant experience though - I believe we go to a temple or any holy place of worship to connect with God and pray peacefully 🙏🏻. I remember a evening when I was standing on the side near the main Durga Mata and praying will all my heart. Then this mean heavy set lady like auntie was sitting down next to where I was standing. She was singing holy songs with loud voice on a loud speaker like mic - surprisingly she kept pulling bottom of my dress - like tugging it over and over and disturbing my prayer - I looked at her with astonishment - she pushed me with her hand saying move forward give space to other!? - I looked behind there was no one behind me! Give space to who?! and I’m here to pray lady - I drove over 1.5 hour to come here to pray peacefully and you cannot let connect with God for few seconds in peace? Then I found out she was called from India for singing bhajan’s holy songs and was a manner less, rude and impolite Desi lady. Temple administrators should educate these people to be polite and behave with manners as we come there to find peace and not insults.

Read moreDurga Mandir in Princeton is such a peaceful and uplifting place to visit. The moment you step inside, you feel a sense of calm and positivity all around. The temple itself is beautifully maintained, with intricate architecture and a serene atmosphere that makes it really special. It’s not just a place for prayer, but also a space where you can slow down, reflect, and feel connected.
The temple grounds are spacious and clean, and they do a wonderful job of keeping everything organized. During festivals or special events, the energy here is incredible—lots of devotion, music, and community spirit, but still managed in a way that doesn’t feel overwhelming. I’ve always noticed how welcoming everyone is, whether it’s the volunteers or the members, which makes the experience even better.
If you’re looking for a place that blends spiritual comfort with cultural richness, Durga Mandir is definitely worth a visit. It leaves you feeling peaceful...
