I’m not one to leave poor reviews often but I felt compelled to leave a candid review as to the state of this particular Chipotle as someone who has happily gone to this location for the better part of close to 4 years and has visited all but one chipotle location in the Nashville area.
At one point in time, I genuinely considered this to be the best Chipotle in the Nashville area barring the one on Thompson lane. Great service very engaging staff, absolutely phenomenal product and well organized. In fact, I originally gave this place my first ever 5 star review on Google.
However, over the past few months the changes have absolutely been abysmal. I don’t know if it’s the changes in leadership at this establishment or corporate leadership, but it has gone downhill to the point I have no intention to ever return to this location despite living 5 minutes from it.
This has been my past four experiences:
-This location has always been high volume. The last two times I went, they were out of all chicken, steak, guacamole, and queso by 6:15pm on a Tuesday.
How in god’s green earth do you run out of queso 4 hours before you close especially when you charge what you for a half scoop of it here? And this is a common occurrence. Sometimes they’ll post it on the door, sometimes you find it out halfway into making your bowl. I learned about capacity planning in a business 101 class in college 15 years ago and “knowing thy business” is a pretty basic concept.
-either a positive or a negative, your meat will never ever be undercooked here. It will be VERY well done. Your chicken will be hard and crunch. Your steak will be black. I cannot speak to the pork but lord have mercy the last two times I’ve went (both earlier and the day and evening) I genuinely threw it away.
-the current staff is really standoff-ish. Asking for extra white rice makes you a war criminal. I’m what I’d like to consider a very respectful and kind person and I’ve worked in sales for a long time and strive to make everyone’s day better because I 1000% know what it’s like to be on the other side with someone awful .
But, my experience here for the last 3 months and giving them like 10 chances has lead me to believe I am not welcome here. And I concur and will obliged.
If you’re looking for a nice burrito or bowl, go elsewhere. Because it is no longer here as it once was. Do better,...
Read moreStopped there for a quick pick up for dinner since I received a free entree when chipotle was giving back to medical professionals which I appreciate. The coupon was an e gift card and they seemed to struggle with it but figured it out or just trusted me and gave me the burrito. I tried the new chicken honey which was a little spicy but outstanding. I would recommend it again. Service was quick and good. Plenty of seating. I will be back!

Read moreI came here for lunch about two weeks ago. It was about 12:00 and not to busy which surprised me. Only one employee was working the line and a couple others were working the register and the grill. The service was sub par. When it came to my turn to order, the employee got a phone call and left the line. No one took her place so I just had to wait. Several employees in the back kept looking out but none came to help. The employee who left finally returned after 3 or 4 minutes and took my order. I ordered a bowl with white rice, chicken and Carne asada double meat, salsas, guacamole (yes I know it's extra), cheese, sour cream, and a bag of chips. I took my food to go. The atmosphere in the restaurant was deflated, lacking any energy, happiness, or anything other than just a blah "this is my job" mood.
The food was meh. The white rice was cooked well but lacking the citrus and slight saltiness. The chicken was also under salted which makes it taste bland and boring. The Carne asada flavor was good and cooked well. The only real thing on point was the guac. It was perfectly made. The chips on the other hand were pretty awful. The chips were many different shades of brown with most being over cooked from how Chipotle chips used to be, light, crispy, with a solid hint of citrus and salt. There was no citrus flavor and salt was okay. All around the food was just meh.
All in all, I will always try Chipotle and hope to find a restaurant that lives up to the standards and flavors of the past. This restaurant, however, is not the place to find it. I will be looking to a different location to get my burrito bowl...
