Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Takumi, and I must say, it was an extraordinary culinary experience that left me with a lasting impression. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

The first thing that caught my attention was the inviting atmosphere. The restaurant exuded an authentic Japanese charm, with traditional decor, elegant lighting, and a comfortable seating arrangement. The hibachi tables were beautifully set, and the open kitchen layout allowed us to witness the artistry of the talented chefs at work.

Speaking of the chefs, they truly stole the show. Their exceptional skills and entertaining performances created an interactive dining experience like no other. From the mesmerizing knife tricks to the perfectly executed culinary techniques, they showcased their expertise while keeping us engaged and entertained throughout the evening. The combination of culinary mastery and showmanship made the entire dining experience truly enjoyable.

As for the food, it was nothing short of outstanding. The menu boasted a wide array of options, ranging from fresh sushi and sashimi to mouthwatering hibachi dishes. Each dish was presented with great attention to detail and featured the finest quality ingredients. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portions were generous. The hibachi dishes, in particular, were cooked to perfection right in front of us, allowing us to enjoy the sizzling aromas and savor the flavors at their freshest.

The service at Takumi was also commendable. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They were more than willing to answer any questions we had about the menu and provide recommendations based on our preferences. The service was prompt, and our orders were delivered with precision.

In addition to the exceptional dining experience, Takumi also impressed with its cleanliness and attention to detail. Despite the lively atmosphere, the restaurant maintained a high level of cleanliness, and the tables were promptly cleaned between each seating. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the presentation of the food to the precision of the chefs' knife skills.

In conclusion, Takumi exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of skillful chefs, delectable cuisine, engaging atmosphere, and impeccable service created a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a special occasion celebration or a delightful night out with friends, this hibachi restaurant is an absolute gem. I highly recommend Takumi to anyone seeking an extraordinary...

I have recommended this place so many times, but after the most unprofessional call I got from the manager I will no longer recommend this restaurant or go here.

I have a gluten allergy, and last time I was in the restaurant our waitress was very sweet and extremely accommodating and told me how to order and said my order could be gluten free. Tonight I order the same sushi rolls, noting I need soy paper since that is what I was told to ask for, and adding in the notes that I have a gluten allergy.

When we got home, the sushi did not have soy paper (which was an up charge) and had crunch and clearly gluten allergens in it. We couldn’t go back for them to fix it, but after spending that much money we asked for a refund since it will be thrown out. They said they would not a problem.

10 minutes later I get a call from the manager telling me how one of the rolls couldn’t be gluten free and telling me that I ordered things I couldn’t eat and they would allow this refund this time, but that I had messed up. I told him I ordered the same thing and the waitress I had took care of me and said it could be made gluten free. He laughed and said “how?” To which I responded “I don’t know, I don’t work in your kitchen.” He proceeded to say that they would refund this one time and that it was my fault for ordering what I ordered. Before hanging up I said “yeah, I guess when I put I needed soy paper and wrote I had a gluten free allergy twice, I assumed you would call me if there was an issue or put what I requested and paid extra for down.”

I was bummed out that I didn’t get the sushi I wanted tonight, but after we called and requested a refund for that portion I was happy they made that fix. However, a manager calling me to chastise me was… an interesting choice. If there was an issue with my order, they should’ve called the number to tell me to order something else. Further, I paid extra for something they didn’t have. I shouldn’t be blamed or penalized for a mistake that made my food inedible for me, especially when there were ample notes.

Really disappointed.

Editing to add, the manager kept reiterating that on certain rolls crunch could be taken off, however there is crunch all over the roll despite being notes as gluten free. The kitchen messed up both rolls, it happens. However, I am once again emphasizing that calling a customer after an issue has been resolved (we were told both rolls were being refunded since they were done without soy paper and one had crunch all over it) is extremely...

10/10 Dining Experience – A Perfect Birthday Celebration!

From the moment we walked in, this restaurant delivered a 10 out of 10 experience. The ambiance was vibrant and welcoming, and the host staff was incredibly helpful and prompt. As soon as our entire party arrived, we were seated right away. The space was clean, well-organized, and clearly well-maintained.

We came here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and were seated at the Hibachi grill with another lovely family who also had a birthday to celebrate. It made for a fun and lively atmosphere—almost like a shared celebration!

Our Hibachi chef was not only skilled but also very friendly and entertaining. The food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. We started with edamame, and then I had the filet mignon and shrimp with fried rice. The meal also came with soup and salad. The seasoning on both the steak and shrimp was phenomenal—easily a 10/10. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh.

My mom ordered the Chilean sea bass and filet mignon, also with fried rice, salad, and soup. She was blown away by the sea bass—it was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

One of the most unique and fun parts of the night was the robot servers! They delivered our appetizers, drinks, and even sang “Happy Birthday” while bringing out the cake. It was such a cool and futuristic touch, especially handy when the staff is busy.

What really stood out to me was the level of cleanliness. After each party, a dedicated crew came through to remove all the chairs, sweep, mop, scrub the grills, and sanitize the area thoroughly. It was spotless, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail.

Overall, this was an unforgettable experience—fun, delicious, clean, and perfect for special occasions. We’ll definitely be coming back, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to celebrate a birthday or just enjoy a fantastic meal...

My brother and I decided we would go out and try this place and we were not disappointed. You have an option of a table or hibachi. If you get hibachi, you need to get Chef Tony. We were lucky and got him. He has a welcoming, and comedic personality all while being professional. If a chef is skilled and experienced, he can turn anything into a beautiful dish—Tony is that man! He has been a hibachi chef for several years. Being entertaining and efficient seems like second nature to him. Moving on, we ordered the popcorn chicken appetizer. This was alright, there is only a subtle hint of the spices mentioned for this dish but this is something that children would enjoy. Additionally, there is a decent sized sushi menu with various types of maki rolls and a great selection of nigiri/sashimi. They even have Blue Fin Toro! Next time, we’ll try more of their kitchen and sushi items. The decor is nice for the most part. It’s a big restaurant but there is so many different things and I was easily distracted-From all the Monkey Kings, to the ever-changing images on obvious projectors, Mickey Mouse at the front counter, the girl figurines in kimonos, to the skyline(?) on the walls (there’s a wall that has both the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty and a Ginko leaf light fixture-it was a lot. Don’t really know what they were going for? The back area by the stage isn’t well thought out. There was also obvious fixtures for the previous restaurant showing it used to be a bar on the far left at the front, when entering the restaurant. It sticks out like a sore thumb. The robot is a nice touch! It sings but sometimes can’t navigate itself. Be on the lookout for a cute robo surprise! Like all the restaurants we frequent, after I eat the food and decide it’s clean and good, decor isn’t a problem. Check it out!

This was our first visit to a Hibachi restaurant since moving to Tennessee, and unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. As a family who used to frequent Hibachi restaurants regularly, we were excited to finally have Hibachi again, especially after seeing the rave reviews. Positives: The restaurant was clean and felt spacious, with an anime-themed decor that was interesting, if not entirely to our taste. The salad with ginger-based dressing was fresh and enjoyable, and the soup was so good I had two servings. The vegetables also exceeded our expectations. Negatives: However, the experience fell short in several areas. We were crammed into a table, which left one of us seated awkwardly behind the chef, disconnected from the usual Hibachi experience. The whole dinner didn’t provide the full Asian ambiance we were hoping for. Additionally, the menu options were disappointing. The spicy tuna roll was bland and the provided wasabi was so bland I stuffed chunks into the roll to try and get a 'wasabi punch'. Instead of offering fried rice or lo mein noodles as standard, white rice was the default, and we had to pay extra for any substitutions. The noodles provided were thin and resembled ramen more than traditional lo mein, which was a letdown.I ordered the filet steak, requesting it to be cooked medium, but it arrived closer to well-done. The chef seemed distracted with seafood, causing the remaining steak to overcook. Finally, the sauces tasted off; the ginger and yum yum sauces were not what we were accustomed to, with the yum yum sauce even having a strange neon orange glow. Ultimately, we left feeling disappointed and unfortunately won’t be returning. Yes, going forward, I should definitely check the online menu for better selection expectations. 🫤
