Dale's 2 Franklin — Restaurant in Franklin

My wife and I were needing breakfast the other day and came across Dale's 2. When we arrived, we were greeted in a timely manner and seated right away. Looking around, it was relatively busy, so that was a good sign. Our server came out and took our drink order very quickly. After she brought my coffee and waters for both of us, I ordered the Meat Lovers skillet and my wife got some French toast and a few slices of ham. The food came out quickly and it was exactly as I thought it would be - nice and hot! The portions were just right and not too overwhelming. I found this place to be very average. At the first visit, the server said she'd be back to take our order. She wasn't in any hurry for the second visit. Finally taking our order, still didn't feel good. Then, two others who came in after us were served before we were. Our meals finally came to the table. They looked just okay. Might have been sitting under the heat lamp a little bit too long. My burger was warm at best and a little over cooked for my taste. The French fries were not as lucky. They looked very good but were barely warm. The soup was warm, with a sitting to long look on top. The potatoes and gravey had very little flavor. We just got done "eating" I know that prices have gone high but 3$ plus for a fountain drink that the servers don't refill like avoid you like the plague. And the country fried steak was nasty I am almost sure it was sour. I tried to be discreet to the server but she was flat out rude. When she said what I told her loudly that the food was nasty.... She took my food off and our bill was still almost $40. Servers should never have an attitude she is lucky my wife wrote $5 tip on the check otherwise she would have gotten nothing, and I have served before and hate 0 but she was rude and seemed like I was bothering her asking for syrup and a refill and then when I tried to let her know the steak was sour she said what....
