I think we sometimes take this restaurant for granted and forget to notice the quality service we receive.
At this place...we always know:
That we will get exactly what we ordered each and every time without fail.
That the food will be the same quality each and every time.
That all the food products for to-go orders will always be organized in high quality containers, and placed into the containers with respect and nicely organized.
We know that every time that our food item containers will be nearly overflowing with generous portions.
We know that no one will ever have a negative tone in their voice while speaking with us. No one will ignore you. No one will have an attitude with you. Each and every time we are treated with kindness, care, respect and an appreciation for us visiting their business.
We know each time that their restaurant is kept very clean.
(One night we came into the parking lot of the license branch nearby while we checked our phones for movie times (before covid, around December of 2018). It was late, it was dark out and all the surrounding businesses were closed. While we sat there we happened to notice a staff member in Long River who was mopping the floor and cleaning tables. We watched as that person cleaned all the chairs and by that we mean they cleaned the entire chair...even the legs. And then we noticed how the staff member mopped the entire floor, cleaned out the mop and bucket, and mopped the floor again. The staff member had no idea we were there and we found our movie and drove off. Each time we've experienced a dirty restaurant, bad food, incorrect order, or horrible service.....we bring up that late night in December at Long River)
Long River owners and staff...our family recognizes your professionalism and appreciate it so much.
You are a gem amongst horrible fast food places in Franklin, Indiana who all.....even after waiting 20 minutes, and no other customers, consistently get our orders wrong. Items that should be hot are cold, items also either undercooked or burnt, and the drive thru window staff treat you like they hate that you came and cannot stand you.

Read moreStraight up a bad experience. Ordered (food + white rice) over the phone was told 10 minutes and white rice was confirmed. Got there and paid (maybe 20 minutes). Another customer informed me he’d been waiting an hour. Also they only told him only after he paid so they’d make sure they had his money. This guy left. Another gentleman started talking to me and told me they lost his ticket so he’d been waiting a while also. He leaves. My food comes out I’m informed all out of white rice and had to take yellow rice. I said no. They replaced my rice with noodles. Still not what I ordered. I was told it would take 45-1 hour for rice because they were so busy. Was still charged full price for not even what I ordered. And expected to take what they gave me. Read moreI've eaten at all sorts of various "Chinese" food places. All their menus are about the same old thing you find at the hundreds of other ones, but each one has their perks. No two of them cook their dishes alike. One in Peru,IN has the best General Tso's chicken I've tasted. Another in Kokomo, IN has the best crab ragoon. I would say that so far, the Long River in Franklin, IN prepares their Boneless Spare Ribs very well. It's your typical Chinese food restaurant other than that. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to really brag about either.
