Hoosier Cupboard Candy, Snacks and Ice Cream — Restaurant in Franklin

Best ice cream and candy speciality shop!! I cannot say enough nice things about this place. We come as often as we can (which is not enough) and each time we have received the friendliest service. My boys love to come because of the train museum and the red caboose, in hopes of seeing a train pass while we enjoy our special treat. While we enjoy all the trains, it's the ice cream that is the main highlight of this place. The ice cream is some of the best, creamy, hand scooped ice cream I have had and I love the unique flavors, such as "elephant ear", in addition to the typical options. The ice cream is extremely affordable...other places would charge at least double. Also, the one scoop is more what you think a two scoop would be at other places... very generous sizes. The candy and soda selection is quite amazing as well. If you have a favorite, especially one from your childhood, I bet they have it. This store is almost like a step back in time and a wonderful experience. If you live in Franklin or are just passing through, you should definitely stop by this...

We love stoping in every weekend to support this small business in Franklin. The reason I’m giving Hoosier Cupboard Candy a 3 star is their hospitality was down right unacceptable last weekend when my family stopped in to support their business. The my wife asked the gentleman at the cash registers how late they stayed open on the weekend during the Summer and his reply was rude and I quote “I refuse to be an Island”, as if we where a problem. This man, I believe to be the owner, was being held up from doing “more important” things that day. We have always loved our experience here. And will give it another shot with the hope that his presence and lack of customer service and rudeness will not...

I love this place, my family goes all the time. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly, and the shop has a wide selection of candy. While Hoosier Cupboard does have some ordinary, well-known candies, it also has many older or niche candies. And on top of the candy, Hoosier Cupboard also has ice cream and soda. The soda stocked is always unique, and some are even tailored to the adventurous. The ice cream is delicious, and with the addition of milkshakes recently, is one of the main reasons people are drawn to the shop.
