Great facility. Should have an event EVERY Saturday. When they do the downtown is a treat. For example today Saturday October 19th could have been an Apple Festival. Then next Saturday a Fall story telling evening in the band shell with hay rides. Then the Saturday after that feature large farm animals. Then horses and horse rides. Then an outdoor classic car auction weather permitting. Then you are in to Thanksgiving and out door fireside meals with an exhibit of blacksmithing combined with a wood chopping contest. Great Farmer's market during the growing season, and a great park that's within walking distance of downtown and is connected to the cemetery and the Greenway trail that goes across Franklin and connects to other parks and historical sites up and down Youngs Creek including the confluence of Youngs and Hurricane Creek on the other side of downtown. It is a vast improvement that complements downtown and allows for easy walking and biking across Franklin.
