Meh. Heard about this place on the radio a few weeks ago when the station asked listeners for best burgers in and near Indy. This was one of the top votes. So, I went to read the reviews here on Google and they were all raving about how amazing the burgers are and there was live music. Made the short trip to Franklin to see what all the hype was about - ready for a cool place with an amazing burger.
We were highly underwhelmed. There was nothing great about the burger. It was literally a ground beef patty smashed and cooked on a griddle. No flavor, to be honest. The burgers come with chips (as in potato chips) and if you want the (smallest handful sized portion) fries with your burger, well - thats extra.
Had to ask for refills more than once, as they were not readily offered. Seemed like the waiter was more attentive to people running up a large bar tab. Asked for toppings on the burgers, got exactly zero toppings. By the time we got the toppings our burgers were no longer hot.
There was no live music. There was a super modern jukebox on the wall.
Wanted to love this place because we visit Franklin for The Artcraft and The Willard a lot and were happy to find a new placeâŚbut unfortunately, it was a bust. I wouldnât go back.
Also, where are the...
Read moreMy first time in Franklyn. Small town with the best people. Looked around on Reddit for burgers as I usually do. Found this. So glad I did. Went Thursday, Friday and Saturday night after long hot days. Iâm a fancy guy, high end tequila and fresh juice is my jam. Not here, not now, enjoy the moment. The moment, was a beautiful, fresh, miller light in a just perfectly oversized plastic cup. So fresh and light. All is right in the world.
Then I got hungry. I did come for a burger. Honest kitchen. Get bacon on your burger. Wish they put tallow in the fryer. But you canât have it all.
If your are a whiny person who complains about everything and generally start sentences with the word I. Please stay away.
If you enjoy nice people, who enjoys fun times and memorable (fuzzy)times. Open your heart and mind and...
Read moreIâve always loved Grill Bar for its history and sentimental value, but after my recent visit for my brotherâs 21st birthday, I wonât be returning. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was hostile. Our waitress never introduced herself, made us feel like a burden, and barely checked on our table despite the bar being nearly empty. After waiting too long for a second round, we had to go to the bar ourselves. When she eventually returned, another employee approached us to deliver an unsolicited âlife lessonâ about not âtalking shitâ about her âgirlââall because we quietly noted the waitressâs rude attitude. This was, without a doubt, the most unprofessional and uncomfortable experience Iâve had here. I always support local businesses, but I canât support one that treats its customers with...
