Not familiar with the town of Franklin but we found this place on the Find Me GF app as we were traveling on I-65. Quiche was great and all 3 stars are for the quiche. Tacos were OK but a little bland. Could only get beef tacos because they were sold out of chicken and pork. They were also out of chili and all sandwich bread so our menu options were really limited which was disappointing since we read the menu online before the detour and went out of the way to try this place. They have a sign on the door stating mandatory masks but two adults and two kids came in without them while we were there and they weren’t even questioned about it. The place is tiny so we were inches away from each other inside. Not likely to return.

Update: Thank you for the response. We noticed the town was having an event but when we arrived there was only one person inside eating at the window counter so the crowd down the street did not deter us from coming in. It seemed like a nice place for locals and I'm sure is well loved in your community but it was not a great experience for our family. Maybe we will give it another try the next time we...

The amount of time it took to stand in line was insane. One person just having a Sunday conversation at the register and holding up the entire line, all while the other two employees just stood around wondering what to do with the line growing longer and longer. The store it’s self is SO SMALL and has too many chairs and too many tables for people to even get to the counter. I was literally standing over someone eating just trying to get a slice of quiche and leave. 1 piece of quiche, to go, not heated and I was waiting for 30 minutes!!! And 1 slice of quiche is $13, I hope it tastes better than I think it will as I’m writing this review. Go to Main and Madison!!!

P.S. UPDATE- the manager comes out to say we’re sorry you feel that took so long. ‘You feel’ do better. How about we heard your concerns and we’re looking into the matter.

We will not be back, seriously Main and Madison is SO MUCH BETTER and you can walk and you don’t tower over other customers who are trying g to eat while you’re...

We had the Quiche (spinach), a ham sandwich with chips, and a waffel with strawberries and bananas. We also had an espresso and a latte. Literally every bite was amazing. The bread for the sandwich, the waffel itself and the crust and topping to the quiche. The quiche is one of the best I've ever eaten! That says a lot since I pretty much grew up on them. I'm particular on bread, gluten isn't an optional thing for me, its a must and store bought gluten free bread is a sad sad story. I am buying 2 loaves from 1823 Bakehouse this week just so I can enjoy a good simple summer cold sandwich at home without sacrificing flavor or texture at all. Im so thankful I found this place. We must have seen 9 other people buy something from their vast selection and every plate was empty before they left and a few even ordered more to go. Quaint and quiet little nook with a welcoming atmosphere. Im definitely going back many times...

I was excited to finally get the opportunity to stop by this cafe while traveling back from Indianapolis. It's always great to find gluten-free eats while on the road, and this one is 100% gluten free! They serve typical cafe fare (sandwiches, etc) as well as doughnuts, desserts, tea and coffee. They also sell a variety of unique merchandise (that would make great gifts!) such as candles, artwork, loose tea and the like. Everything we tried was fabulous, from the peanut butter mocha lattes to the cinnamon rolls and even pumpkin muffins! This cafe sits in the heart of downtown Franklin, and plenty of parking was available. Next time I'll plan a longer visit when I can check out the nearby shops!
