Came here for dinner on a Friday night, and it was pretty busy. Definitely a good sign. Got seated promptly, with no wait. Live music was unexpected, but they had it. They have a pretty extensive menu with nothing on it that I wouldn't be willing to try. Ended up getting the Pollo el Jalisco.....grilled chicken topped with chorizo and cheese sauce. Pretty good stuff! The Piña Loca was pretty good, too, and rather visually striking as well! Beer prices were a bit steep. I think it was $6 or $7 for a 12 ounce can of Tecate.....sheesh. Read moreFood was avg to slightly below avg. Ordered trio burrito. Came with only 4 shrimp and did not have much flavor. Rice was orange and the beans looked more like butternut squash baby food. Took my drink to be empty for about 7-10 min's before getting a refill. There was on 5 tables with guests at them and its 5:33 pm on Wednesday night. Being busy was not a issue.
Have to say I will drive to Morgantown Indiana from here on out if I want Mexican food with shrimp. Just plain Mexican then in Franklin would have to go to old Kroger shopping center location.

Read moreExcellent food and service with a very vibrant atmosphere. I'm not one for Mexican food as there are way too many any more, but this one is really good. It has a more authentic taste to it than most I've been to. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I normally don't pick off the vegetarian list, but rather make substitutions to non vegetarian plates to get something unique.
For the vegetarians and non vegetarians alike give the side of cactus a try. It tastes a bit citrusy with the bite of okra. It's cooked with some sort of adobo sauce that gives it a smoky kick.
