EDIT: Still disappointed. I went during COVID. IT says directly on the sign that if your food is not ready do not come in. Well there was 2 people standing there playing on their phone. Not cool. Also after I was cashed out I didn't even have my money in my pocket or my food in my hand and I could feel the lady behind me breathing down my neck. The guy working was already cashing her out and I still didn't even have my food in my hand. My food was cold. They do not keep it warm. They just keep it on a shelf by the cold door. They also FORGOT my chips. I got this giant pint of salsa and no chips. I am tired of complaining to you guys about your poor service. The food is good but your service is TERRIBLE!! Disappointed. They over charged me on the guacamole. The menu said it was $2.50 and we got charged $3.25. I included a picture of what they think is $3.25 worth of guacamole. Note there is a taco bell spork in it. It was a total rip off. Definitely not worth $3.25. The staff was not friendly either. When i got there he told me to wait a minute after i already waited 2min to pick up my carry out order. He put something down then said outloud "i guess i can wait on you now". How rude. I am very disapointed how ive been treated here lately. I took my dad here for fathers day and i had terrible service. They served my father his lunch then i had to wait 15min until my food came. I didnt even get an "im sorry for your wait". I asked the waitress for hot sauce. That took 10 min. By the time she came back my food was cold. I will not be returning here. There are better spots around town that actually care about their service and how they treat their customers.

Alright, so positives first. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive even during peak hours. The restaurant was packed and we were seated quickly. Decor is pleasant and inoffensive, and acoustics are good to hear yourself speak. Seating is comfortable. Wait times at peak hours are as expected. Price point is 20 per person. 30 with drinks and appetizers. Positives done. Flavors are bland. Put plainly, this Mexican fusion has a flavor pallet that can be described as "Mexican for retired white pallets." The guacamole needed lime, salt, some pepper. Queso has decent flavor though the cheese choice reminds me of pimento without the olives, with a bit of poblano. The salsa was almost flavorless and was better mixed with the queso. The refried beans were watery to the point of being inedible. The poblano pepper was overcooked to the point that it lost much of its heat and all its firmness. To their credit they don't screw up red sauce but honestly how do you do that? The ingredients are themselves excellent quality. Good cheese, good meats. But it lacks the cumin, the oregano, and the HEAT that you expect. It doesn't need to be sweat inducing but a little Chilli powder wouldn't hurt. For the price, if you want serious Mexican, you will be disappointed. If you want good quality, but low flavor Mexican with very little variety of options (fine if you always order the same dish.), it will be a better alternative to proper Mexican in the area.

2nd stop here but didn't review before. A big space cleverly divided to make it feel more intimate. Music playing is all Spanish and the appropriate volume, in the background. But if feels not authentic, a veneer or theme over everything. (Like Outback isn't really Australian) The decor is themed but ultimately feels like just decorations. Style by committee. The service is quick, professional, but feels like they are just doing the job, nothing extra. Nothing bad, either. The chunky salsa is flavorful, fresh tasting, with a little kick. Enchiladas were good. Moist, tender, but somewhat lacking in flavor. Maybe I've eaten in Mexicantown too many times but, in my opinion, it's as authentic as Chili's. A place for consistently solid food, efficient service & decent prices. But it's just not my wheelhouse, not my first choice. Sorry.

I have been there many times. At least three times since I opened after Covid. Today our waiter I don't even know his name is horrible. He came to our table asked us what we wanted to drink and when I asked for a Vernors he told me that it doesn't come with free refills. I told him that was okay but we need menus. He replied we used that pointing to the card that was on the table. It was one of those QR readers that you had to download on your phone and therefore get your own menu we told him we did not want to do that we would prefer to have menus. He begrudgingly went and got us menus. My friend ordered and it was my turn to order and I asked for the steak fajitas without any peppers. He promptly told me I can't have them without peppers because they come all mixed up. Since when can't they take an extra minute and cook a portion without a pepper in it I'm sure there are other people that don't like peppers onions or mushrooms and ask to be omitted from the fajitas. So now you're telling everyone that does not want one of those three combinations not to order that entree. That just doesn't sound right anyway our food came but it was not delivered by him it was delivered by somebody else at the end of our meal he came back dropped the bill off and came back a few minutes later clearing our dishes in a hurry like he wanted us to leave. We were both very disappointed in the service that we got and was totally unexpected by it. However a group of about 16 people came in brought their own ice cream and cake and asked him to serve it at the end of the meal. How can you not serve a dish without peppers but you can do ice cream and cake that was brought in from the outside I don't get it. We won't...

Stopped in for lunch as I hadn't been there since the start of covid. Was greeted promptly by hostess and shown to a table. Was greeted by Amand B. with warm "Hello, how are today and can I get you something to drink?" Drink arrived in like 20 seconds along with their fabulous chips and salsa which are out of this world. They have a new way of doing things. They have like virtual menu which one uses their cellphone camera to hover over a QR code which takes you to the virtual menu which you can download. It was easy to use and I believe from a business perspective it's a fantastic idea. Then Amanda came back promptly to take my order were she inputted the order on like mini kiosk she held in her hand. Another brilliant idea! Not only did it save time from her having to take the order, and then walking to a station to input the order she also confirmed the order before submitting it. She stated it would be right up! She was kidding either! It was only a matter of minutes and meal was out just as I ordered it. Kudos to all this operation. It was superb and I really enjoyed my meal and Amanda's friendly and professional personality. The only thing I could say that was a small negative is the hostess, while she was polite and thanked me for coming in, she might want to be a tad less standoffish. Pretty woman, beige/tan top with black pants, young, slim in build, brown hair, pony tail

They have plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, carryout is offered and online ordering. Plenty of parking, handicap parking, room for larger parties, accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, El Charro gift cards Highly...
