When Reifschneider's first opened, I thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon lunch or an evening dinner at their establishment. Through the years I don't know if it was the turnover of the staff or management or cooks and service workers, but the last three times that I have dined at that establishment, it has been an undesirable experience. Can't say that I've ever had bad service, however, the last three visits have been undesirable to say the least. The prices continued to increase and the quality of food has rapidly decreased. Never have complaints about our server but the food was not visually appetizing and it certainly was not pleasing to the palate in any way. I visited there on my birthday with my two best friends and the only thing any of us ordered that was halfway appetizing was the Caesar salad my friend ordered. The food had a very bland taste. But most of all was undesirable to the eye. It's like the cook is afraid to use any spices or has not been educated properly for they do not go out of their way to present their food, in any way, appetizing. I will not be returning to this establishment nor will I recommend it to any friend or family member. The third time is the charm and after hundreds of dollars, the food has never gotten any better. Quality or presentation. In fact, at my birthday dinner, we ordered three mixed drinks from the bar, and unfortunately not one of the three, we're consumable. They looked good yet none of us were able to drink more than two sips. Once again, spent well over $100 on just an undesirable experience. Thank goodness our waitresses and servers have always been courteous and very understanding. Please, for the sake of you the future business and well-being establishment, expand the training and requirements I'm your Cooks. At the end of the day, if the food is undesirable and flavorless, people will eventually stop patronizing this establishment. Environment is inviting until you get your order....
Read moreWATCH OUT for “ERRONEOUS” CHARGES and BAD ATTITUDES
Last week I had a seriously sketchy situation happen at the Freeburg location, and it was made worse by the horrible, offensive attitude of one of the managers who happens to be the mother of the waitress that “accidentally” charged my debit card a $5.00 tip even though I’d left her a 20% tip in cash ($6).
Knowing things like this happen more often than is widely known, I usually make sure to write 0 for the tip when I leave cash so the space isn’t left blank & carry the total down, but I was talking and careless, and didn’t do either. My bad.
The manager said her daughter “made a mistake,” & gave me my $5 back (she took it out of the bar cash register 🤔), but it was served with a family-sized portion of arrogance and bad attitude that was incredibly ballsy, given she did it in full view of everyone at the bar and lobby. It was obvious that this is her standard behavior, because, well...who does that without being fearful of maybe losing their job, especially when THEY'RE THE MANAGER?!? I think someone that has done it over and over and still has their job.
Aside from the bad manager, has anyone else had a similar experience in being overcharged at this...
Read moreFirst I apologize but this is only if my only restaurant reviews with no pictures. I was there for a business meeting and didn't want to pull out the camera. This is a nice restaurant in an area that doesn't seem to have much of a selection. They have a pretty vast menu, I think we counted 27 appetizers.
For the meal I ordered the Chicken BBQ brick oven pizza and it was very good. The crust was thin and delicious. The BBQ sauce was a bit on the sweet side but nonetheless very good. They offer all types of entrees, everything from burgers, sandwiches, pasta, seafood and steak. I am always a little wary of restaurants that have too wide of a selection, you run into the danger of being a jack of all trades and a master of none.
We didn't order any apps or desserts, so I can't really tell you anything about those. Overall a good experience with friendly service...
