My reasoning for one star is combining my last two visits to dine in. My last visit was this past New Years Eve. We had 6:30PM reservations for 12 and our table was open and ready off to a great start. This was their highlight. It then only got worse. I wanted steak but was told they were totally out except for leftover prime rib that could only be ordered med. The server blamed it on a lot of mistakes by the restaurant and the buffet earlier. I asked if they had steak on that buffet and she answered "I don't think so". Then we order our food which ranged from pasta, pizza, wings, and a few appetizers. We noticed the time we ordered only because she took so long to come back to take it. We waited over an hour without seeing our waitress. We assumed she went home and forgot to tell someone to finish her table. She brought our food finally after waiting over an hour for mostly food that was previously prepared. Once we got it then it was obvious what took so long. She tried serving ice cold food tobthe point pasta was hard and dark colored. We complained she didn't seem to care and said she would warm it up. Some orders took an extra 20mins to be brought out and I was done eating my meal before she returned my microwaved twice baked potato. Through all this she never asked how things were or apologized. Then the straw that broke the camels back was the gratuity added to all our bills. I am usually a 20%+ tipper if earned but quite frankly she earned much less possibly nothing. Serving may not be her thing, but a customer should not be forced to tip when the service was that poor! I asked the hostess while leaving if I could speak to a manager and I was told nobody was available. Although it was a terrible experience and I probably won't dine in again I do still like to order pizza by carry out. I don't trust the drivers due to previous mistakes. The only problem with the pizza is getting one not burned on one side. I'm trying them again tonight for puck ip pizza...
Read moreSo I’ve never written a review before but I just had to for this one. I put in an order for one large pizza and they told me the wait would be two (2) hours (120 minutes). My friend really loves their pizza so I said that’s fine and gave them my (real) phone number and told them my name was Spongebob. The woman on the phone asked if I wanted the order or if I was joking so I said that I did, I just have a name that Americans find hard to spell. She said okay, and I said thank you (deeply regret it).
I get there after waiting two hours and the woman at the front desk let me know that they didn’t put the order in(amusedly), but that her friend wanted to meet Spongebob. (Why would her friend want to meet me if I didn’t exist?) So this guy comes out and basically scolds me and explains that they don’t take orders unless they have real first and last names. ALL of this is FAIR. I get that. My problem is, why couldn’t they have said on the initial phone call “Unfortunately, I can’t put this order in unless I have a real first and last name to make sure we’re not wasting food over prank calls“ BEFORE making me wait two hours? They gave me a weak “sorry for that” that was not genuine and that was that.
Where I work we have someone that called in saying their name was Meatball. We put in the order. Someone gets a phone call cut out when we tell them the wait time at the end of the call? We still put in the order. If we’re not going to put in the order (ESPECIALLY if the wait time is long), we would let them know. And when we get something wrong, the service staff and the cooks GENUINELY feel bad and try to fix it. That’s why this irks me.
Also their pizza sucks. I only ordered because my friend wanted...
Read moreI placed a delivery order online using a link on their website at 8:09 pm for delivery to my work office address. I called at 9:25 pm to find out the status and I was told that the pizza was on the way. When I called at 10pm the lady on phone told me that the pizza was delivered ‘hours ago’ to a lady who was standing in the porch of the ‘house’. I reminded them that I had an office address on the order and had put the name of the company as well and that the building was a multi story building. Then they found that the delivery was made to wrong address. I was told that they could make another pizza and deliver. I asked that the order be canceled and refunded as it was now late and I had to leave the office. The lady said she can’t refund the money and that I have to sort out the issue with yelp. I protested why I should deal with yelp As I used the link on pizza store’s website to place the order and therefore it was a service offered by pizza store and I shouldn’t have to call yelp. The pizza store should themselves ensure that the money is refunded. Unfortunately the way the rep on the phone handled the issue was unexpected. They tried To wash their hands off their mess and wanted me to deal with yelp. While yelp refunded the money at the end I had to waste a lot of time over the phone. BEWARE- if you place order online and it gets messed up, as per my experience tonight you will have to deal with yelp to fix it because if you call the store you are going to get the cold shoulder and will be told to...
