Saturday, 8/05/2023 - On our way home, we saw Chicken G's in Freemont, CA. We decided to give them a try. Address is 40839 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538 (b/t Papazian Way & Chapel Way). Their chicken is freshly made. So please have a little patience. But it is so worth the wait!!! Upon arrival....

Pros

  1. clean little restaurant.
  2. free parking. There was plenty of parking when we arrived.
  3. no lines! We went right up to the cashier and order. He was very nice.
  4. we order the kids 2 tenders and mac&cheese for $11.98 and the Big G for $13.74.
  5. took a little bit to get our to-go food. When we got in our car and took out The Big G sandwich....boy was the chicken huge!!!! The 2 chicken tenders were perfectly cooked. Thumbs up from our little one. She was only able to eat one tender. They are pretty big tender for her. The Big G was cooked perfectly. Batter on both were nice and crispy, chicken was juicy and big. We shared the Big G and still had left overs! There was a slight spicy kick to it, but we loved it! Fries were delicious.
  6. they had a prayer section in this restaurant.
  7. water, plastic utensils, napkins were to the left of the cashier counter.

Cons

  1. none

Conclusion So glad we stopped here on our way home. The battered chicken was huge! Bread soft and fries delicious. Staffs were very nice and professional. Restaurant looked very clean. No stickiness. I like this restaurant! Try it if...

My first experience was a cool customer grabbing us all sandwiches in Mt View after a night of drinking.

I was pleasantly surprised when they opened in Fremont, my neck of the woods.

A bit pricey - but if you would compare five guys to in & out, chicken G is that to chik-fil- a. Both great for what they serve offer and price point (and hours! Chicken G open til 1!)

These sandwiches are HEARTYYYYYY. Great after drinking meal or hangover meal or just when you want a great chicken sandwich.

I can eat a LOT but these will def leave you feeling a bit heavy and it’s just what the doctor ordered. Battered chicken fried to perfection.

You can call in and pickup - although there is a bit of confusion on locations and #s rn with the soft opening of Fremont. My first call in order was fine. This second one they didn’t have it at Fremont and I presume it went to my view although the operator asked which location and I stated Fremont.

My wait was a bit longer having ordered in house (ticket time 12:11am food finished 12:35) but there were two groups of 5 before me and their online orders. Call in & let it cook while...

I've been a regular at Chicken G's for the past 10 months, and I must say, their sandwiches have consistently been my favorite in Fremont. The taste has remained excellent throughout this time, which is why I kept coming back. However, today I had an unpleasant experience that has left me reconsidering my visits.

While picking up my lunch, I encountered a rude interaction with a lady working at the front end. Her treatment made me feel uncomfortable, as though I was receiving free food despite having paid in full. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced such behavior. On previous visits, I had similar feelings of discomfort. It’s important for customers to feel respected and comfortable when picking up their orders, especially when they've paid for their food. I hope this feedback helps improve the service because I genuinely enjoy the food at Chicken G's.

Note: I feel comfortable with all the members working there except for one lady. This is based on my personal experience. I am sharing this...

I’ll be honest — the fried chicken here needs serious improvement. It was undercooked, and the breading completely fell off as soon as I started eating. I recommend learning how to fully cook the chicken and how to get the coating to properly adhere. Hope to see improvements in the future.

I’ve tried the Naughty-Chick, the Bad Boy, and The Big G here. While all are good, I personally prefer the Bad Boy with sauce and cheese—always flavorful and satisfying. The Big G is another solid option if you’re in the mood for something bigger and more filling. The restaurant serves halal chicken, which is a big plus, and they clearly take pride in using quality ingredients. The place is clean, open late at night, and the staff are always polite and welcoming. Service is quick, and the burgers are flavorful and hearty—perfect if you’re craving something substantial. I did have one not-so-great experience when ordering online (the burger didn’t taste as fresh), but every time I’ve eaten at the restaurant, the food has been consistently good. Overall, a great late-night spot in Fremont for tasty halal burgers with quick service. 🍔 Quick Tip: Must-try the Bad Boy Burger with sauce & cheese; if you’re extra hungry, go for The Big G.
