Ordering online is a snap, as it uses Grubhub's back-end. Just click on a menu item to add to your cart. The menu itself is immense, absolutely anyone will be able to find something they're familiar with. I got the Pu Pu platter, Mu Shu chicken, and some cans of soda. The Pu Pu platter (appetizer sampler) was so chock full of items, it had to be packaged in two full size takeout containers. Everything was fried just right, and tasted excellent. My favorite was easily the potstickers.
The Mu Shu chicken was good, but rather soggy, and I only got one cup of hoisin sauce, when I ended up getting six cups of sweet and sour for the appetizer. These things, while little, dragged down one of my favorite meals, and so I must take a star.
I had to take the second star because in my order I specifically asked for extra napkins and I got zero. I even said please. That hurts Eastern Winds, that hurts us both. It hurts even worse since I preemptively tipped over 20% as a courtesy.
The delivery was within the time window given by Grubhub, and the guy was nice but not talkative. Packaging was impressive, everything was rolled, tucked, tied, and shut, and there were no leaks from anything. No almond cookies though, which is unfortunate.
All in all, a filling meal that was unfortunately brought down by a few but significant shortcomings. I'd really love to see this place do better and I'd like to give them another chance in the future. I hope to see them on their...
Read moreI was recently very disappointed and disturbed by the service my daughters received when picking up food for my husband and myself. My family (daughters included) have been giving Eastern Winds our money for years! We have been eating at Eastern Winds since my 25 year old was a child. Eastern Winds restaurant always has had such an awesome vibe, tasty food and we always felt welcomed. My husband and I sent our 2 daughters to pick up our food and my daughters were treated very badly by Jay. They said he was very rude and loud with them because they weren't sure what we had ordered and as one of my daughters stepped outside to call my husband to see what the order was, Jay yelled some snide remark in front of his other customers about her not knowing what she ordered. She not only felt embarrassed but hurt. My husband called while the girls were still there and Jay put my husband on speaker as he is telling his restaurant full of customers that my husband is on the phone asking why he was rude to his daughters while he is still yelling at my daughters that he wasn't rude to them. Very unprofessional and we will not be returning. We spoke very highly of Jay until this happened and instead of apologizing for being rude he escalated the incident further. I rarely get on Yelp but hopefully Jay will realize that he really was hurtful and hateful in his tone to my daughters and maybe it will prevent someone else from experiencing what my daughter...

I recently ordered food from here for delivery and didn’t know they just use DoorDash as their delivery service. Strike 1. Once the food was on its way to my humble abode, the door dasher was in the parking lot for more than 20 minutes with our food not making any progress. So we called the restaurant to make sure the food was picked up and whatever man answered the phone had a slight attitude from the jump. Strike 2. Then 10 minutes later the door dasher decided to steal the food and we called the restaurant again to let them know and see what the next steps are. The same guy answered the phone and immediately started harassing and screaming at me while I was just trying to let them know they canceled the order because the door dasher stole the food. Strike 3.
It’s sad to know what was once a family friend place turned into a harassing customer experience that has caused me great pain. My family, friends, and I will never...
