The food here is good. My wife had a Meatball pizza and I had the Commissioner. Pics below. Also, because it took a bit for them to start the pizza, they brought us a couple of Canoli. Which was a nice touch.

With that said, my 3 star rating was based on observations that was not conducive to a public eatery.

No self respecting Deli can't be taken seriously if they don't even have a Reuben sandwich. They come close with their Commissioner. It has grilled onion instead of Saurkraut. Not a Reuben.

However, the night manager came around as we chatted and he was able to come up with some Saurkraut which made me very happy.

There were a few things that stood out as non-positives. I've worked in the Restaurant business a pretty good amount of time and these items just stood out.

The counter which is available for eating, I think, was cluttered up practically the entire length of the counter. Someone had a music player laying on it with their earphones laying next to it. Don't know about you but I don't want to eat where someone's earphones are laying nearby.

Obviously the management don't have offices as there was a great deal of the counter taken up by computers which were not other customers'. Does not project a professional atmosphere.

The service folks were very welcoming and did a great job, but the management really needs to share with their folks what is and isn't available. I don't hold this against them but they didn't know saurkraut was avaliable for sandwiches. When the manager stopped by he told me that he could get me saurkraut, no problem. And he did, but why didn't the folks at the deli counter know this. By the time I got the saurkraut my sandwivh was cold. Again, no slight on the service folks, this was a management failure.

Bottom line is their food is good, the service was good, but I have to wonder if the management has had any restaurant experience before deciding to open one.

For me, Elroy's gets 3 stars.

We want to try Scarpetto's which is an Italian restaurant next door owned by the same folks....

I'm often very skeptical of places that try to do too much or places that have too large a menu. When I saw that this place had pizza and was also hailing itself as a deli I was a bit concerned. I ended up pleasantly surprised. The deli side is exactly as it should be; generous portions of good quality meats in classic deli sandwiches for prices that you would expect from a deli (not a bistro that's trying to serve deli foods at inflated prices). I got three full sandwiches, a pizza and cheese bread for $40. The pizza side of things is actually surprisingly good too. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? no, but did it exceed my expectations for pizza at a deli absolutely. This place is doing the amount of menu items that they need to survive while still not trying things they can't pull off. You end up with is a very solid deli experience that has the bonus of making decent pizza. At some point I suppose I became somewhat of a takeout food pessimist and have begun to expect places to over promise and under deliver. This was a nice exception and delivered exactly what it promised for a price point that was very reasonable. I will certainly use this as one of my go-to "I'm hungry and I don't know what I want"...

Well I have been here a couple of times, by walking in. The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. However, today I tried ordering for delivery. I placed my order at around 6:00. Well I got the confirmation and then an email stating my food would be here by 6:44 p.m. Well at 7:04 we called and were told that the driver had yet to get back. Well, at around 7:30ish a driver comes and tells us that they delivered our food to the wrong address and that they are going to bring our order... Well at 7:40 the woman calls (Michelle, super friendly) and says that they are remaking our order and that it is going to be 25 more minutes, and they are going to throw in a free cheese bread... I mean thanks! Yet, I would have liked my food delivered to me? We did finally get our food at 8:03. This isn't going to keep me from ordering delivery again nor will it ever keep me from going there either. Really do like the place. The food is hot and fresh. My original rating was going to be 3 stars. Then I decided 4 because of the friendliness. However, I am going with 5 because the food was awesome, the staff is friendly, the second driver was super nice, and finally the tea I ordered...

First let me say we love your pizza. However our experience today was a total diaster. When an hour had passed and our food was not here i cslled. The young lady was very nice, as well as the manager. Our food had been delivered but not to our house. Who knows where it is. She told me they would remske it and we would have it in 25 minutes. 40 minutes later still no food. Finally almost 2 hours after i had ordered it. When i pointed this out to the delivery BOY he simply said my bad. That us not a respectful response and certainly is not an apology. When i showed him the 4 inch house numbers on our house he shrugged and walked away. Finally we can eat. My husbands sandwhich is on the wrong bun. My sandwhich has a single pickle and one tiny bit of lettuce. My spinach salad was just spinach. I finally found 2 or 3 craisans a minut amount of feta and no apple. For 42 dollars i shouldnt have to doctor up my food to make it edible. I am sending photos i am not happy at all.

Elroy's Deli offer's so much on their menu. Really is a place that has something for everyone. I ordered a Greek Goddess Salad and a chocolate cheesecake for dessert. I chose a half pound, and it was more than I thought it'd be. The cheesecake is heavenly, seriously so good. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, plenty of seating room, and it was very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful, really took the time to share their personal favorites. They also have shelves set up with a nice selection of groceries and wine. Most things are not available in a regular grocery store. I'm trying the pasta next time.
