New owners are doing things right! Fish tacos, shishito peppers, the music, the service, the craft beer menu, and the overall vibe/atmosphere was all on point.
Keep in mind that this is not a full-service restaurant; it's a neighborhood beer bar/tavern that has a small kitchen and serves some food. That being said, their food options (both in quality and flavor) definitely surpasses that of many restaurants in the area, and just about everything I have tried so far has been quite good.
I'd like to thank the owners for carrying a couple of the Athletic Brewing Company non-alc beers. I drink less alcohol these days, or sometimes alternate between a drink with alcohol and a non-alc drink. Of all the non-alc beers I've tried, Athletic IPA is definitely one of the best. Surprised more places don't offer good non-alc options in this day and age. Anyways...thank you for carrying a couple that are really tasty.
My only suggestions: offer fresh brewed iced tea instead of iced tea out of the soda gun, and include more mushroom in your portobello mushroom sandwich (especially since it doesn't come with any sides...it was heavy on the bread and very light on everything else, mushrooms in particular).
I hope they get a website and social media up soon so folks can see their food and beverage menus, hours, etc. The website and Instagram account that still shows up in a Google search for Joe's Corner appear to be from the old owners/iteration of the place.

Read moreThis was our escape, myself and my wife. We went to enjoy our nights with local people, with no complications, unnecessary terrible customer service or expensive beer (they were pretty inconsistent with their offerings, but the beer was affordable). I remember the best days where Joes was a family, thanks to the owners, Bob and Melissa ! They knew who we were and recognized our names. Yes, it was like Cheers. We were definitely everyday customers .
We went to Joe's 4 times after the new ownership and I fee like a stranger. It's now only about the money you have. I hate reviewing Joes as 1star, but I feel the need to review the new ownership and their view of customers.
Btw , I have never ever heard of a 5% discount on Election Day . How does that work as a marketing campaign ? The demographics of Niles is different than the Silicon Valley . Your relation is with the people not their wallets !
Humbleness is a synonym to Joes. I don't want to listen to your reply; I want you to understand your target audience and change if you want to keep Joe's.
Joes brand name is big, but you're...
