I usually don’t leave reviews, but my recent visit to this Subway across from Thornton Middle School deserves mention. The place itself is clean and conveniently located next to the post office — no complaints there. But the service? Let’s just say it left a stale taste before I even bit into my sandwich.
I walked in, expecting the usual “Hi, what can I get started for you?” Instead, I was met with silence. No greeting, no eye contact, just a blank stare like I’d interrupted someone’s nap. The staff moved like they were on autopilot, and one in particular — a tall, thin guy — made it very clear he didn’t want to be there, or anywhere near customers. When I tried to use a valid Subway coupon, he snatched it from my hand without a word, punched a few buttons, and handed me the receipt like I was inconveniencing him. No “thank you,” no “have a good day,” just walked away mid-transaction.
It honestly felt like I was being rushed out of someone’s garage, not a customer-oriented food chain. I don’t expect red carpet treatment, but a basic level of friendliness and respect goes a long way — especially when you’re in the business of serving people.

Read moreThis is my 4th visit to this Subway restaurant. I don't have any issue with my previous visits to this site. However after what I've experienced from this visit, I won't go back anymore. Two days ago, I purchased 3 sandwiches via the app. I first noticed the Titan Turkey sandwich is missing the spinach I requested. It is just a minor thing human error happens sometimes. I don't pay much attention to it. When my son opened the Subway Club sandwich, it has only turkey and ham, the roast beef is missing. It is very unusual. I was then opened the third sandwich, cheesy garlic steak. There's no Monterey cheddar cheese in it. I was using a promotional coupon for the sandwiches, but it doesn't mean that you give me less because I am not paying full price for the sandwiches. I don't do business with dishonest merchant. However, 2 recent experiences have caused me to be DONE. 1… the bbq Baked Lay’s I bought were soggy and funny tasting and once I actually looked at the chip it had MOLD!!! 2… A few weeks later, in a desperation for a quick meal, I attempted to get a sandwich but noticed that the employee already had gloves on and was wiping the counter. She was going to begin my order with the same gloves and I politely asked her if she could please change her gloves. She pulled her face and said rudely “I just changed them” and she hostilely ripped them off and put on a new pair. I told her to “have a nice day” and walked out.
