Could be better.... Been going with my family on weekends lately and love the food. As well as the best orange juice. We decided months ago to have Sunday breakfast and it’s expanding as more and more family is joining us. But the lack of service on our table and seeing other tables never being left alone by multiple severs, really doesn’t sit right with me. The constant 1 hour wait time constantly is beyond annoying. Ask for reservations and they won’t allow it. Even calling ahead to be allowed would be a major feat. I have family comming from out of town 45 min drive just to eat here then to have to wait another hour... Reservations are put so people don’t have to sit there and wait long periods of time with children exespcially in the cold weather conditions. Yes we are allowed to eat outside but with no heating and children doesn’t mix well. When asked the employees about installing heaters “like other establishments provide” they said it would be an inconvenience to the staff to pull them inside and put them out daily. Hated the fact that our food didn’t come in at once. Then when politely asking the waiter about my toast she responded with the cooks are too backed up. ( I personally wasn’t aware that it takes a cook to use a toaster) and at the very end at the time of bill asked if I wished to take it to go. I love this place to eat and hope these issues are looked at seriously and fixed in some way to meet the consumer half way. If I continue to bring my large and ever growing family to this establishment as well as adocate their food these issues should be addressed. I love the place but don’t want to have to seek other places for...
Read moreFood was delicious! My hubby had the banana strawberry French toast and I had the chorizo chilequilles. bomb!
Service was 6/10. Could have been better. She was nice but not very attentive and when I asked for a cup of ice, it was not even a half cup of ice. It was for my house made WARM orange juice. And we had to ask 2xs. No biggie but it could have been better.
Now the seating. Wow. Super squished. You might as well have breakfast with the next table over. The small tables are ridiculously small. We ordered 2 plates and it took up the whole table. If we were to order more, we wouldn't have had room to eat without worry of knocking something off. I didn't appreciate being so squished and on a very small table. The condiments that were already placed on the table took most of the room of the table.
The decor needs to go lol alot of the pics and decorations were not straight. Random decor. Looked tacky for sure. But hey. It's not my restaurant. Just saying, it didn't make the place look clean or welcoming. Just added to the squished table layout. Maybe straighten the pics on the wall and it won't look so bad with all the random decor. Looks like no one cares to make it look nice.
The pricing is a bit high but the food was good. We paid 65 bucks for 3 cups of orange juice, our two plates and a side of 2 sausages.
They had a patio area.
I wouldn't say it's wheelchair accessible due to the fact that the tables are very squished together. It's actually more of a hazard how close they are. Easy for someone to trip or hit something.
So the food sold us. But not...
Read moreYou know how some places couldn't care less about the service they provide or your experience? Batter Up is the exact opposite! It started with the nicest guy named James who sat us at our table. While seating us, he asked if we had been there before? He then made some excellent suggestions for ways to get exactly what we were looking for. He was like that server you're lucky to get who knows the whole menu inside and out. He was the perfect first impression. He even got us drinks before our server came to the table. Our food server came out quickly and was just as caring and attentive. We had a large group and she was really patient and cool with us. The food came out quickly and every plate was perfect. These were the best pancakes I can remember eating. Everyone else was equally as pleased which is rare with such a large party which included a couple of people who are kinda high maintenance, I'm not going to lie. The service was so friendly and the food was excellent. I was so impressed that on the way out, I stopped to thank the owner. He was sincerely grateful and thanked me. His daughter overheard our conversation and she also came over to thank me for sharing positive feedback. This is the type of restaurant and kind of family you want to support. I'll go back to Batter Up everytime I'm in the area. You should too. It's very clean, friendly with great service. Their hospitality is only exceeded by their gratitude. Keep up the great...
