I was visiting family in Fresno. Since my wife is vegan, this affected how we would choose where to eat.

We decided Little Peking would be the best for both Vegan and non-vegan connoisseurs.

I have heard good things about Little Peaking from Fresno friends. And, to tell you the truth, I was expecting more when I arrived.

Small restaurant tucked in the back of a small shopping center. The inside is not your typical, grandiose Chinese restaurant. It was more like walking into a local, small, Mexican restaurant. Plain, white walls. Very little "Chinese decoration". 6 or so tables. Chairs that were covered in a red velvet cloth material that ,probably, a family member made.

The young man taking our order was extremely helpful and nice. He knew the menu and what went in each dish. He was honest and made sure that the vegan/vegetarian food we ordered was vegan. Some dishes had to be made differently so that they could be vegan.

When our food came out (it was as long as you would think a Chinese restaurant would take, not terrible) I was blown away!

Usually, when I order orange chicken from a Chinese food restaurant, it's no different from Panda Express. Little Peaking orange chicken was phenomenal and way better than Panda Express!

The vegan food was delicious and filling.

With friendly staff and delicious food, don't judge Little Peaking by its cover. Little Peaking is a Chinese food restaurant we would gladly eat at next time we...

I've been here before and my experience wasn't great but good, I ate in and the food took almost an hour to come out and I feel that the food was a bit salty. A couple of days ago I retried this place and I ordered I the food. The lady on the other end seemed to be in a rush and hung up before I could ask my last question. Upon arrival I added another order to the tally that was already ready for me to take and it didn't take long to come out. I ordered the Vegetarian chicken curry with noodles and rice and also vegetarian broccoli beef and added a spicy chicken dish. The downside was that the woman claimed there was no fried rice side and I had to order a whole order, also no chowmein and had to get pan fried noodles, the service wasn't bad but being limited keeps this place from getting 5 stars. The food was delicious and the meat eater agreed that the food was good that is what kept the whole experience from becoming a close 3 star. The pan fried noodles were just the right balance of chewy and crunchy and the curry, although not the best I've ever had was definitely solid, the rice was steamed well. Definitely recommend especially if you crave Chinese and you're a vegetarian, 5 stars on that aspect. Will return because overall it was a great value for the...

Highly satisfied with the quality of food I have tried. I order sweet & sour chicken over fried noodles. SS Chicken I have tried from other restaurants have tasted like they came from a freezer or the quality is poor, but little peking has to be one of my favorites! Their chicken is crispy, not dry, nor soggy. Their S&S sauce is one of my favorite versions i’ve ever tried, I prefer the sauce not to be citrusy tangy, this sauce is is more sweet like pineapple.

Edit: Just order today and there was completely different staff than what I’m use to as I have been a daily visitor for the past week since I was so impressed. I ordered my usual S&S chicken with fried noodles and usually they place the SS Chicken on one side and the noodles on the other of the foam box. Today The cook prepared it by putting the noodles on the bottom and the chicken on top which made the sauce cover all over the noodles, I tried to love it but I couldn’t, literally tasted like spaghetti noodles and maple syrup Yuck diabetes on a plate ! Now I understand why they place them separately instead of on top to prevent that...

I tried the vegan orange chicken and all it came with was fried noodles (which didn’t have that crispy golden hue to them - they were pale) I wanted to ask the owner if she could change my dish to something with tofu and veggies but she seemed annoyed from the start when I was looking at the menu. I just decided on the orange chicken and she said “steamed rice or noodles”, so I picked noodles. But they should not just offer noodles. Most dishes anywhere you go eat come with at least two sides not just one. The “chicken” itself - was nasty. I don’t know what I was biting into, but there was nothing inside the crispy exterior. It’s as if all it was was deep fried dough, but there was nothing to rave about. I had no choice, but to leave my food not even half eaten on the table, as I could not continue to eat something I have no idea what it is. I should have just went with my usual vegan friendly restaurant but I wanted to give Little Pecking a try. I regret it.

Tried several dishes at Little Peking. It's a small older sit down restaurant. Very dated but they decorated in red which makes it quaint inside. I tried the X.O. Shrimp which was the special with steamed rice. It was good and flavorful. I'd try again. Also ordered the shrimp chow mein which was okay and the orange chicken again okay. I wasn't a fan of their shrimp fried rice but all was fresh so I will say that currently they have the best Chinese food in the far NorthEast Fresno area. The service was nice just not a lot of flavor beyond the special dish.

Lot of vegan options. My dad loves meat but he really loved the the two vegan dishes that we got and shared (vegan beef chow fun and eggplant pan fried noodles). He said it’s way better than the Chinese restaurant we usually go to where he normally gets the real meat, so we’ll def come back. It’s not very traditional so my mom didn’t care for it, but I still liked it. The eggplant and mock beef was more like a tempura (crispy puffy batter).
